This Home Deport EXCELLS in ignoring Customers.

My shopping experience wasn't terrible, but it certainly could've been better. I was greeted and asked if I needed some assistance in the flooring department, which was great. However the female flooring associate that helped me could use some training to improve her customer service skills. I did my best to explain what I needed, but sensed some confusion, impatience and rudeness in her. In addition to shorting me on the quantity, the item she recommended turned out to be the wrong size. Overall, I felt like my visit here was a complete waste of time and the customer service I received was poor. I will only be going back to return the item, and don't plan on shopping at this location again.

The cashier (Lia) I met that faithful night was very horrible and disrespectful.

Overall, the store was organized compared to other Home Depot stores that I have been to. What really stood out was one of their associates named Stewart who took his time, regardless if he was busy at the time, to go out of his way to make my shopping experience effortless. Stewart is a great example of customer engagement and need more like him. I was able to find the item exactly where the item was supposed to be located.

Dino in electrical helped me find all parts needed to install three separate flood light security cameras. He was patient and very knowledgeable.

The store is clean and amazing! The staff are extremely nice and very helpful.

If you need an appliance, Mario Wong at the Martinez Home Depot store is who you want to help you! Very professional, courteous, and he follows up and keeps you informed after the sale has already been made.

I needed a price check on a rug and had many other questions and Josh Ugot was able to answer all questions I had. All in all, he made my time there very memorable and positive and I hope this review does great things for the young man.

Big yet small enough to find everything I always need without searching "forever". The layout of the store is straight and simple, not elabrate and complicated like some other Home Depots that I have visited (like Concord and Emeryville stores UGH!) . Also Less crowded than other Home Depots (like Emeryville, Oakland, and El Cerrito stores... they = overcrowded!) which makes this place my first go to store. Whenever I need help I am able to find a staff member pretty quick and they are able to help me efficiently or get someone who can.

Kyle helped me to calculate the quantity of plank flooring I needed, then checked stock. My pickup wasn't able to haul all 53 boxes in a single trip. The flooring was a Special Buy, and may not have been available when I returned. Kyle arranged everything, I bought all 53 boxes, he loaded half of them into my truck and held the rest at Will-Call for me to pick up the next day. A big thanks to him, plus Jose, Sam and Liz who each helped complete the purchase.

The older gentleman who has been working at the front entrance is very nice, always greets me and I always say Hi back.

I am not particularly a fan of big box hardware stores and don't often write reviews, but I received outstanding customer service from the Martinez store and wanted to recognize some employees. Mario, Beepak, Steve and Kathe went out of their way to assist me. I didn't even have to ask, they had friendly smiles and made sure I found everything I needed, even walking me over to other departments to make sure someone arrived to help me. I don't find that at most Home Depot stores, so the Martinez store obviously takes care in who they hire to interact with customers.

I expect sub-par treatment at home improvement stores, since 95% of the time that is my experience. This time was no different. The "sale" on countertop materials I was informed of were incorrect on several counts, thus had to recalculate new choices the following day. Afterward, I waited for the salesperson who did not inform me their shift was ending @4, thus I wasted an hour waiting for his help. Someone else assisted w/the sale, however a 1-hour trip to the store turned into a 3.5-hour trip. Plus, I did not end up with any of my top choices of materials, and had to settle for something I would not have otherwise chosen.

Helpful sales people

We just purchased a new washer and dryer. The selection and prices were better here than in other stores we checked out. Also the person helping us knew what he was doing and took the time to make sure we got exactly what we wanted.

I have been going to this store for some seven years. During this entire time, I have found most of the staff to be well-trained, with lots of additional personal experience in particular trades. While there have been times when I have been unsatisfied with either the customer help (not enough of it), overall, Home Depot is my store of choice, and the Martinez store the store location of choice.

I have always found the staff here to be knowledgeable and helpful. Check out their over-the-top Halloween display!

I have never gone to Home Depot in Martinez and not found what I was looking for. If I had any questions there was someone close by to help out most of the time. Sometime helping others but always acknowledged my presence.

I had just purchased over $400 of Hardie siding material only to realize the rental van which I usually use was not going to be ideal for transporting it and was then informed that the rental flatbed truck was currently out of service. Stephanie called around to find another Home Depot that had the flatbed available and reserved it for me allowing me to deliver my siding home safely and also compensated me for the inconvenience. Thank you for going above and beyond, Stephanie!

In and out within 10 minutes. Very efficiently run store, super friendly staff associates.
