I would put minus 10 for the attitudes of the employees there. Ridiculous how they act. If they don't want to be there just fire them. It comes down to bad management. I would eliminate half of the employees.

Home Depot has good merchandise, pretty good prices, but too few employees. Spend the money to make being a customer easier.

... VERY helpful Sales Associates and Always ready to answer questions... Whatever department, they know their products! MOST of all, you don't have to look to far for assistance and they greet you with concern about choosing the Right product for my need.

I love home depot but don't like going somewhere if the items I'm looking for are out of stock. I need it now and have to go somewhere else and spend more.

This is the closest HD store to me but sometimes I will drive to Virginia Beach because that store is so much better. It is difficult to find any knowledgeable help or even anyone who knows where items are located. You can never find a manager and customer service desks are poorly staffed.. It's just not the best Home Depot store around.

I had an outstanding experience with Stephanie ("Steph") in customer service at the Military Hwy location. I had a large and complex order that took approximately two hours to complete, and throughout the entire process, Steph was exceptionally polite, helpful, and patient. Her professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction were truly commendable. If every employee demonstrated the same level of enthusiasm and service excellence, shopping at Home Depot would be an even more enjoyable and seamless experience. Steph’s commitment to providing top-tier customer service makes her an invaluable asset to the team. Floor sanders were in such bad shape we returned without using. No cords for sanders also.

Bad at names, but Pam Pammy, or Pamela helped us. Bought a microwave that wasn't in stock. Will have it installed when it comes in. She went above and beyond to help us.

We have shopped at this store multiple times over the past several weeks. Each time, we had several questions about repairs in our house. Consistently, the employees were knowledgeable, helpful and gave us multiple options. Rarely do we encounter one here who isn’t committed to helping.

I recently purchased online a Christmas present, I had the order shipped to the store my order was only half delivered. This was on December 13th of 2024, I have still not received the other half of my order. I have called customer services and they told me the store would be able to refund or help with receiving my order. When I went to the store they informed me that they couldn't help because they don't have physical possession of the item. So as of right now I have no item which was an ingersol rand air drill no refund and no means to receive either. I am highly disappointed.

I brought bed slats ,for my king side bed . and it had to be cut to the right side.

Always excellent staff

I recently purchased 6 Anderson sliding patio doors through this store. The salesperson I dealt with, Jim, was the consummate professional. He was patient and spent a great amount of time ensuring we understood all the available options. Once we selected the doors we wanted, Jim prepared a fully comprehensive quote that he ensured we fully understood before we accepted. He then scheduled a series of realistic installation dates that accommodated our schedule. The installation team, led by John Katz, were also very professional. He was quick to contact us to ensure the installation dates were still acceptable. He and his team arrived on time, promptly proceeded to work, maintained a clean and neat work area protecting interior/exterior areas of our home free of debris. They worked three full days to complete the installation of all six door assemblies. I was extremely impressed with their professionalism and the quality of their workmanship. This job was a major expense and at this point I could not have asked for a better team of sales and installation that what I received. If all my interactions could be as seamless as this one was, I would be very happy.

I have never needed to return any product I purchased from this store. The employees are great.

Africa, American women are the worst to do business with and if the shoe fits where it They are the worst I should’ve videotape them, but I didn’t. I started to.

The woman at checkout was most helpful in assisting me with self checkout and importantly locating my card number. The music in the store is distracting. If something neutral cannot be played, then don’t play anything.

This location has stopped opening their lawn and garden gates and registers so unless you have the foresight to bring a pallet from the far left of the outside of the store all the way to the front door and then maneuver it down the narrow aisle on your way to the interior door to lawn and garden section, you’ll have to double back to do that then you’ll have to bring your mulch, rocks etc., on the pallet through the store and wait in a single line to be checked out, they never open the gates. They never open the outside register. Meanwhile, there’s at least four or five workers on their phone standing in a circle at any given time. Maybe one of them could open a register outside

This store has a convicted Peeping Tom who I caught looking in her window and under her front door. I have spoken to 2 managers about him and given his conviction date but yet he’s still employed there and gives me anxiety every time I see him. The other store is 15 mikes away and it’s a inconvenience to have to drive all the way to Chesapeake so I suck it up and hope I don’t bump into him which I did again on Sept 20th!

There is always someone available to point you in right direction

This location has always been phenomenal when hosting the Childen's Workshop every month. The staff is absolutely wonderful and help make it a joyful experience that we cherish with our little one. We've done a ton of DIY around the home and this has been our go to location. The staff is helpful and they generally have what we need. The only caveat is that they should have more staff trained on how to cut the plywood sheets in order to reduce wait time for that specific product.

Jeannie helped me. She was great, very kind, and knew how to find the parts I needed which some struggled on. Thank you Jeannie, I’ll look for you next time when I get lost.

I have complained to their corporate office about this before. This is the only location that makes you wait on a line in the middle of the store towards the lumber department to use self check out. This is the only store in the whole tidewater area that does this, even my guys hate going there because of this.

Please cross train all employees and teach them customer service skills. I was in the store longer than I needed because an associate didn’t go the extra mile and call for backup or redirect me to the front of the store so someone could look up the item location

Last few times I have been here, I could not find an associate to help with my questions. This used to be a great place because the associates were very knowledgeable and very helpful. Now its just another "hardware store" Brett
