Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, and CFLs for recycling.
Home Depot stores sent approximately 5.3 million pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This helped the planet by preserving over 63,500 trees, keeping over 16,000 trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saving over 50 million gallons of water, and conserving 7.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity.
LED lights in your local store cut down energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like wind and solar.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment and our local communities. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our commitment to economic responsibility.

Whether you're looking for Hampton Bay patio sets or closet organizers, your local hardware store has you covered. Our skilled associates can help you find the products you need for your DIY project. Find the right product using our Home Depot product locator app – it displays a store map so you can ensure the product is in stock and know exactly where to find it. You can even use the barcode lookup to find detailed information on every item we carry.
Community involvement is important to us at The Home Depot. In an effort to fill the trades gap, The Home Depot Foundation has pledged to train 20,000 veterans to fill the industry pipeline by 2028. We also offer hands-on learning and expert advice at our DIY workshops, with topics tailored to everyone in your family, including workshops for kids, which provide a lively environment mixing creativity and safety.
We're happy to provide the guidance you need, every step of the way. Stop by today.
Sincerely,
The N Thornton Store Team
Which real Christmas tree should I choose?
Look for healthy green trees. A quality real Christmas tree should keep the majority of its needles when you shake it, and the needles shouldn't look brown, patchy, or dry. Also, be sure to check that your tree is free of disease and insects, so examine any holes or knots in the wood carefully. We're your source for finding the best live Christmas tree for your home.
What tailgating gear do you carry?
Find tailgating supplies to upgrade your pre-gaming time. We've got stadium seats to make watching the game comfier, portable heaters to help keep you warm, and grills to cook delicious food. The Home Depot is your source for tailgating products this winter. Shop for everything you need in-store or online.
