Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting plastic plant pots, CFLs, lead acid batteries, and rechargeable batteries for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used in composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
We have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores since 2010.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our customers and associates. This commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment and our communities. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Read more about our eco actions.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared for whatever circumstances life throws at you. Whether you're dealing with snowstorms, thunderstorms, tornados, hurricanes, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy power when the elements knock it out. When exploring different generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
What home repairs should I make before winter?
Make sure your home is ready for colder weather by repairing or replacing broken parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in the crevices, you could have problems. On the outside of your home, examine shingles or metal roof panels for damage or rust that could let water in. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks. Indoors, ensure ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed if damaged.
How can I make more space for the holidays?
As you prepare for the holidays, give yourself extra space in the house and stow away the rest. Garage cabinets keep tools, decorations, and more out of the way. Shoe racks and other storage containers remove summer belongings from the equation. Moving blankets shield fragile items. If you need even more room, a new shed can give you plenty of it.
How do I check the balance of my Home Depot gift card?
Gift cards to The Home Depot are a popular choice for any reason or during the holiday season. DIYers know these gift cards are fun to give and to receive. Buy gift cards online at homedepot.com or in our stores. If you receive a gift card, you can check your gift card balance online or visit the North Mesa Home Depot and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Redeem our gift cards in-store or use them to shop online with no additional fees.
