Don't EVER believe what the Home Depot website says about stock availability at your store, it's NEVER correct!

Customer service
I noticed there is more personal available for assistance, however it seems they are lacking in training regarding good customer service. Instead of hanging out with each other in one place, they should be moving about the store asking if they can assist in any way. I still had to walk around looking for someone.

Lower expectations
Some employees know their subject; others don't. Getting help is hit-or-miss. The only time I get attention is when they think I might be stealing. I now go to Home Depot as a last resort.

Employee attitude
When visiting from NM, I went to Soquel store to buy some plants for mothers house.
There were no carts to be found so I had to carry each plant to garden center checkout. I aaked cashier why no carts and he said " customers are too lazy to return carts to store and leave in parking lot".
I guess the Soquel store has a different policy than NM stores where employees retrieve carts from parkinh lot and place at entrances for customer convevience.

Almost everything
The website says that they had many of the item I was looking for, if they did I don’t know where , (Dryer vent bucket), not, 4” galvanized duct, I saw one 5’ piece and that was all I could see, almost?

Great store, great selection
We like this store, it has a great selection. Hard to find help, but if you plan ahead, you can go to each aisle and find what you are looking for easily.

Cashier Wendy is a SUPERSTAR!
Shopped for over an hour - Gardening, Lighting, Masonry & Lumber and was completely ignored by all Home Depot staff. Fortunately, my shopping experience ended on a high note thanks to cashier Wendy! She handled every customer in line with a smile and enthusiasm, making each of us patiently waiting in line leave with a smile!

This store is cluttered, terrible customer service, impossible to get help, and incredibly long lines to checkout.
I have tried to give this store the benefit of the doubt. But consistently when I shop there it is 1) impossible to find anyone, 2) when you finally find someone they don't acknowledge you, 3) it is full of cluttered aisles, and 4) checking out is a nightmare. Tonight I had 2 items I had ordered online for store pickup. I received the email saying an associate had fulfilled my order. But when I got there and gave my order number, the customer service desk person had to walk the aisles to either find my items or just shop for them. It took well over 20 minutes to pick up 2 items that the email said were waiting at the customer service counter. Yesterday with over an hour left before they closed, there were only 2 self-check out spaces open - at least 6 others that were closed. 3 employees stood near these, no one even acknowledged the line. When I finally got up, the 3 items I had could not be rung up and I had to leave without them. I will not be back. I would recommend looking at other hardware supply stores in the area before you consider Soquel Home Depot

Plenty of help
Went looking for a washing machine for my disabled son and arrived very early at the store. Found a discounted washing machine that would fit his needs. Got lots of help in buying and loading the machine into my truck.

Outstanding Customer Service
The gal whom works in customer service (Darla ) really is an asset to your store and company. Time and time again she provides knowledge about where to find what I am looking for. She is always happy to assist and always has a friendly attitude and a smile. She makes me want to come back to shop at your store. Home Depot should be proud of her and kudos to her job performance.

Non-existent Military Discounts
Do not expect to get a military discount by showing your DoD issued ID card. Home Depot only virtue-signals that they care about veterans.

Flaky military discount service
Tried and try it again thought I had it set up go to use it again and it says need to reevaluate please enter more information when I was about to go to the store to hell with this when I was able to just use my retired ID card there are other stores in town that use my retired ID card

Small Store. Hard to get everything for a project.
Store is smaller which means smaller quantities of stocked items in stock. Could use a really good ordering associate that stays on top of predictive ordering instead of waiting until something is out of stock.
If you need a common item call ahead. If you need multiple things for a project such as putting up a chainlink fence. Skip this store and go to a larger one because you will end up there as a second stop anyway since this one does not stock all needed parts.

Must be late, poor cashier lead interaction
I entered the store rather than purchasing power tool online. At checkout, had poor customer service interaction with cashier lead Hailey. Store management may want to consider another position for this associate. Many places to get power tools, not necessary to have front of house staff that don't have skills to interact with customers especially in supervisory role.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
The employees in the garden dept could care less about helping you find things, load carts with heavy material. Very unorganized, can barely get down aisles.

poor inventory, not worth the time.
I went in on three different occasions to get repair parts for products that they sell, and each time they didn't have the parts necessary. Their staff kept suggesting that I buy another manufactures part and use that instead (which wouldn't have worked). If I had been an inexperienced customer, they would have sent me home with the wrong part, perhaps not noticing until I was well into the project, leaving the house with no water, and no time to find the right part! The store manager couldn't have cared less! the lumber is sub-standard and dimensionally incomparable with industry standards, costing far more to"make it work".I have NEVER known HD to take these things seriously, I guess that is what Yelp is for.
