Two days ago I walked in for two 27 gallon storage containers with lids. The local competitor had smaller ones advertised for the same price. The ones at Home Depot are sturdier and there two lid colors which come in handy for sorting purposes since I’m packing to move. They were heavier than I expected, I didn’t have a cart and I was too tired to get one so I started dragging the two I wanted. I have mobility issues and was struggling. Almost immediately an employee offered to help me with them. He carried them to the door, placed them in a shopping cart and offered to help me put them in my car. I have never received this type of assistance at the other store down the road. Thank You.

Sam and Katie helped me with an issue pertaining to my credit card and they did it with so much care and ease. They were so friendly and patient with me as well.

Anytime I visit, as I shop, I am always asked if I need help by various employees.

After a major storm Home Depot had everything I needed to take a tree limb off my roof and to clean up the mess.

I was recently in home depot in valparaiso. I had a lot of issues to take care of as I was trying to open a taxi exempt account and order a product. I did not have all the info I needed, nor was I sure what I needed. Tina at the service desk was extremely patient and helpful, carefully walking me through the process with outstanding professionalism. Tina was truly a blessing to work with!

Although the shipping experience was a disaster-as they cancelled out on us 3 separate times in a row, after calling and talking to the manager he was very understanding of the problem and more than compensated us for the inconvenience. I understand that shipping problems can occur beyond a stores control which is why I would still recommend Home Depot to anyone.

I’ve bought several tools for different projects over the years from paint to drywall installation and repairs to woodworking and automotive repair, they’ve never let me down.

My husband and I went to home depot yesterday to buy trim and new doors for our home. We bought 6 doors total. While putting them on the cart, we asked if someone could help my husband load them into his truck. We were told they would. At the register we were also asked if we needed help loading them and we said yes. I had to run back inside to purchase straps to tie everything down and was told someone was on their way to help us load everything. My husband ended up loading everything into the truck himself while MULTIPLE employees walked by him. That is the last time I will spend my money in Home Depot. I may only be one person, but I am one person who will take my hard earned money elsewhere.

Over all the store is OK. But don't buy a door from Home Dept.

There is so much to offer at this Home Depot. Yes, there are the big box stores, but you’re lucky if you can find staff to help you when you need it. Most of the time when I walk into Home Depot I’m greeted by no less than four or five employees ready to help. I am disabled, so they always help me out to my vehicle and load my products into the vehicle. All my remodeling items have come from Home Depot. Great choices!

This store along with very helpful staff is always clean and the shelves are blocked and organized

After checking on line with HD online, went into make a specific purchase but the item was After checking online for availability for specific item when making a special trip for the item it was not available in store. I, also, came into maintain my credit card but they denied my purchase. I am not sure it it worth trying to reactivate the card when your computers are unable to maintain proper inventory protocols. This has happened to many times to waste my time, again.

I had several employees direct me to what I was looking for. They were all friendly and knowledgeable about the store. My checkout person helped me to get my veterans discount too.

I purchase a lot of Husky contractor bags and some tools. You always have the items I am looking for and have a friendly staff working there.

Bought an air compressor, listed online for 99$ in store 129$ was told to buy online (while standing in line at checkout in the store) to get that price bc they could Or change the prices, the to head down to customer service to pick up my online order ( already had it in my cart) got there and 45 min later my order still had not “ processed” I could t leave the store the kid at the register was telling me there was nothing he could do, even tho I had a receipt with an order number on it etc. finally some one comes up and asks what’s going on and I explain. She tells kid at register why don’t u cancel the I line order and ring her out for the online price! ( WHAT THE ACTUAL !!!) so he says oh yeah I could do that. Why did it take 45 min , why did I have to go through any of that. Why do u not match your online prices? Also why does a veteran with valid photo id need to register on a website to prove they are a veteran to get the advertised 10% discount on a few items? A valid id is proof. It’s illegal to pretend to be a veteran.. it’s called stolen valour and you can go to jail.

We have bought over 25 items for upcoming holiday. Great service finding items. Always positive, and friendly staff!

We had just lost power and wanted 2 Ryobi clamp fans to keep air moving throughout the night with the higher heat and no A/C. I saw there were 13 fans still in stock, so I rushed over to grab what I needed. When I arrived, there was only 1 fan on the shelf. I asked the cashier at the Pro Desk if she could verify whether or not they had what was showing online. She verified the location of the remaining fans and asked for someone to bring them to the front for me. I had what I needed in less than 10 minutes and was on my way. I always have the best customer service when I need it at the Valparaiso Home Depot.

I am very happy with the products that I purchase at this store as well as the friendliness and willingness to help customers that need help in finding/choosing items to purchase.

The person initially handling our $5k+ order was incompetent and consequently our sliding glass door order was botched and it took from May to late July to execute the contract. I would recommend Tom in millwork. His 24 years of experience sure came through for us.
