Pathetic customer service! You are ignored and belittled. When seeking guidance they either do not know or refer you to online ordering without even checking what type of item you’re asking about. Will not shop here again! Customer service counter is a hang out for the employees standing around ignoring you as a customer service, POOR Customer service and work ethics!

I just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Tonya on the great customer service she provided to me on Tuesday 8-25 at about 8:25 pm. I live in the village of Niles & we have 2 Home Depots and neither of them had the screen door I needed, I was told Mt. Prospect had it so I went there and they did not have it either even though it showed they did. So I looked up the Vernon Hills # and Tonya answered the phone, I told her what I needed, the sku # , the model # the size , the color and she said yes the store had it. I told her how far I was driving from & that I was at Mt. Prospect and I was another 25 minutes away from Vernon Hills and that I did not want to drive there for nothing, I asked her to verify it and she walked over and said she was lokking at the door, I asked her if she could save it and that I would give her my credit card to info to pay for it and she said that the door would be up front, I walked in and BAMM it was there, I asked if she was Tonya she said yes, I thanked her many times and told her that she is very professional and she thanked me. The next day I called the store to let her management know about my AWESOME experience with Tonya and I was glad that I was able to speak with Maurice for about 10 minutes and I told him everything and he thanked me for going out of my way to let him know and I asked him to make sure to call her out for going above & beyond. Thank you again Tonya !!!!

Clean store, everything is accessible! Friendly staff

There are other stores in the area with more courteous and attentive staff - I suggest you shop there and let these rude people continue to joke around all day with each other and make the paying customers feel like a bother.

Super helpful staff at the store when I visited today. Maurice was especially kind and helped me get what I needed on 2 occasions. They seem to work well together as a team to help customers. I felt comfortable being in the store....everyone was wearing a mask and being very considerate.

Home Depot in Vernon Hills is great. The staff that works there is always helpful! Love the prices and most of our kitchen is from Home Depot! We also bought Trex decking for our outside deck project and everyone at this store went above and beyond to help us out!

Jim Luniewicz cut an acrylic sheet for me... it took so much time and skill and professionalism! He even made handling the monstrous clamp machine, careful measuring, precise scoring, evenly-applied pressure to cleanly cut the acrylic sheet seem interesting and engaging! Fabulous!

Marin at the Pro Desk is such a refreshing breath of fresh air. She's super helpful, professional and a no nonsense POSA with a GREAT sense of humor. A huge benefit is she can actually work any department and really knows the store, plus she brings donuts :) since donut Friday is on temporary hold. Marin thank you for all you do to help the pro.

Be wary - employees at the store are NOT wearing protective face masks and are not being encouraged to wear them. I was told that a more lenient return policy is in effect (180 days) because Home Depot would prefer customers NOT come to the store. When I needed to be directed to where a product might be located, I was told "over there" and given a finger point down an aisle. Very disappointed in Home Depot

STORE MANAGERS AND EMPLOYEES ALWAYS KIND AND CONSIDERATE, ALL SEEM TO HAVE GREAT ATTITUDES, ALL EASY TO DEAL WITH.

We traveled from WI to find a Husky tool box my husband had to have. We had trouble with other HDs that said it was in stock but then was not. Borneo and his coworkers tracked down the item quickly and efficiently. He got me thru the check out and he and others helped load it. Thank you , you made the process simple and easy!

Since the store is typically very large and I don't have much time to look for things I find it very helpful when your employee not only tells me the aisle and bin but also walks me there, which I don't experience in other stores.

The employees are available and helpful to find what you are looking for or give instruction on the products. I came to this store looking for an item that HomeDepot.com said was in stock but was not actually available when I arrived. The salesperson gave me a discounted alternative to help with this inconvenience. Well done Home Depot!

The cashier/Customer Service agent, Maggy (Magdalene), is always very calm, patient, and friendly. She took her time searching for every item I was returning and even used Google for the one without a label. I always get great experience with her; she is a true people's person.

If you have a kitchen remodeling project, you MUST see Billie in the Kitchen Design Center!! She was amazing!! She spent 4 hours with me helping me chose everything that I needed to make our kitchen complete. She was always available to answer my questions and even sent emails asking us how our project was going. She was very knowledgeable and friendly!!

WE NEEDED A FRIDGE. WE FOUND ONE JUST RIGHT. THE STAFF REALLY HELPED ESPECIALLY MAGGIE. SHE TOOK MY WIFE A I TO THE DIFFERENT STATIONS AND DID OUR CHECK OUT AS WELL. SHE WAS TREMENDOUS!!

I do quite a few home improvement projects per year and shop around for the best products and pricing. Home Depot is my favorite home improvement store, especially the Vernon Hills location. The store is clean, employees are nice and helpful, and products are easily located in store after looking them up on the website. I have had wood delivered with no issues. I also order items online for store pickup and I love the new locker pickup system (assuming the items are not too large to fit, of course). And my favorite feature is the self checkout registers so I can get out of the store quickly. Home Depot is the brick and mortar store I visit most frequently and probably always will be.

The service is extremely excellent!

They went out of their way to help me get the specific product I needed. It was a difficult quantity to fulfill given their packaging of a particular product but they made it work out. I didn't have to over buy to get the amount I needed.
