Everyone was helpful and friendly and went out of their way to assist me, from the people at the desk, to the store employee, Rudy, who helped me find everything, to the check-out person Kimmie. I was able to get in and out of the store fast and was very satisfied.

My first time in this location and I can say it was the best experience at any Home Depot I have ever had. I live in Chicago and my daughter moved to Vernon Hill recently: we went in to get a shovel, I left with a grill instead. Great Customer Service from 3 different employees working on Thursday at 6:18 PM. One young man was on the floor, one was behind the register and the other was the manager..Thank you

Even within a major retail chain, there are bound to be differences in the way a store is run, and the caliber of personnel they hire. Apparently, this management is extremely efficient and thoughtful in their administration of their store. It is very clean and well-organized, and the employees have a uniformly higher level of capability and attitude compared with others in the industry. Very impressive, and a good experience.

I always get great customer service at this store. The store is clean and orderly. I always get smiles from the associates who are so very helpful. With the store being so big, sometimes it can be overwhelming, but there is always someone with a smile asking if they can help me find something. My checkout experiences have also been very pleasant and I usually walk out with a smile on my face. This is my "go to" Home Depot store!

This store is great and has great specials.

If you need doors or windows, ask for Tom. He follows through on vendor calls, emails, etc. The guys in the flooring department were also friendly and helpful.

Billie Hanhardt, a design consultant in the cabinet department, is exceptional. She really knows her stuff. Would definitely recommend if you are having a kitchen designed.

As always, Home Depot comes to the rescue! I had to move our washing machine and in the process of turning off one the shutoff valves, the valve broke (it was 40+ yrs old). I had to shutoff our main water and figure out what to do. I decided I would try to fix my self instead of placing an emergency call to a plumber. At Home Depot, Vlado in Plumbing helped me find everything I needed to install a new valve. Happy to say, in less than an hour, I had the fix done and our water turned back on. Thanks, Home Depot!

Worked with Steve and Zach in doors and windows. They know their stuff. Very helpful.

Customer service is awful. It seems like the employees hide from you not wanting to help. You start walking towards them and they walk the other way. It took me 15min to find someone and when I did the guy in a orange shirt said "you need to find someone with an apron we don't work the floor." Then when I finally found someone the guy asked me to wait until he was done moving some pallets. When I went to check out I explained to the cashier that I wanted to buy an item and it was the last one on the shelf and it was opened. She proceeded to tell me to purchase it that I was able to return it if everything was not in the package instead of looking it up on the system to see if there were more available. I arrived at the store at 7am and ended up leaving at 7:55am which made me late for work needing to explain to my boss why I was late.

The associates will engage with me asking if I need assistance, they direct me to the respective area and the associate in this area will educate me on the product I am looking for. They make me feel welcomed and want this to be a great experience.

Staff and cashiers are always friendly and they have all the stuff I look for.

All stores should have this level of customer service from on the floor to the checkout and loading. MaryAnn made this trip great by giving my son a balloon when he was sad but I've met many helpful and knowledgeable people at this store. Dan in plumbing and Sal in tools have helped me many times. It takes a good store manager, thanks Bill, to keep such quality employees.

The staff at the Vernon Hills Home Depot go out of their way to help you and if they can't , they find someone who knows more!! The Team work is Amazing!

If you need a kitchen designer, go to this store! Jeff is extraordinarily knowledgeable, insightful, patient, helpful, cheerful, and detail-oriented. This was the best part of planning our new kitchen. So far we are very pleased with the cabinet construction and options, though we have yet to receive the product we ordered.
