What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
The adjusted hours give stores the ability to staff appropriately and provide additional time to restock shelves and perform cleaning. As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

Don't trust their pricing. I ended up paying $236 more for an item than was listed because it was an ONLINE ONLY ITEM- EVEN THOUGH i could not buy it online- the store required in store purchase. VERY VERY disappointed in a store I trusted and counted on.

This store is inadequately staffed to respond to shopper questions. While shopping in the electrical department I stopped by the customer service desk twice requesting assistance... no associate came by. I stopped an associate walking in the aisle I needed help in and asked for help. He said he would send someone by... no one appeared. I even called the store from my cell phone asking for help in the electrical department. No one showed! Very frustrating. And people wonder why shoppers are turning to the internet and passing brick and mortar establishments by! Oh I was forced to select at the minimum 1 star. The experience was not even worth 1 star!

This is bitter sweet for me, I've been shopping here for the past 10 years all the way back to Kalisha, Lou, & Jarrett now with 2 of them being gone, it's not the same. The people there are very rude & not helpful at all & I dread having to shop there now. I had a bad experience at check out with Dee who is VERY aggressive with a bad attitude. When I was going to the self checkout there was a young man who asked me if I needed assistance & I said no I am fine but thank you. Dee jumped right in front of my cart, probable embarrassing him saying "you don't ask them if they need help, you just help them. She then grabbed my cart & started to scan something. I told her that I was fine & did not need help & that I would do it. She said no it's fine I will, I said to her that she needs to back up & get off my cart. I told her she has a bad attitude, very rude & will back away. I asked for a manager & she said she was one, I told her to get another one but instead she backed away & did not get a store manager. I felt like I was being treated like a criminal. I want to add that Chuck from Lumber was extremely helpful & I really appreciate the one on one & walk thru assistance he provided me with, very patient
