I want to install a small, 30 amp main, sub panel in my workshop and then feed (2) 15 amp breakers off the 30 amp main, so I can run 15 amps up each side of the shop to run 3 power outlets per side. Will this work for what I want?

Installed in a shed, I want to use a 30a inlet box from a 30a generator. For 2 separate circuits, R,B,W and green. From the inlet box. Is it R to one pole B to the other W to the bus and G to ground?
