        Not SAND
I’ve bought this item before multiple times. This time around what we got was not sand. It’s some powder dust. Had to return.

          Do not buy for kids
This is not the right sand at all for a sandbox. It has very tiny rocks which is probably why it’s 50lbs a bag. It’s not pure sand at all. Does get on clothes and does stain. I returned all 16 bags I got and found a cheaper one that was the actual sand I was looking for.

            High quality play sand
I've used 16 bags for my project and none of the bags had any debris or large rocks. Just pure and quality play sand for my toddler's sand box. Very happy with my purchase.

I used this with soil to make a 60% sand 40% soil mix for reseeding Bermuda grass and it worked like a charm. Will be returning to get more for the rest of the yard.

              Sand seemed contaminated with cement
I filled my child’s sandbox with 10 bags of this play sand. 8 of the 10 bags had very fine gray powder incorporated into the sand. To me this appeared to be cement. 1 bag had numerous clumps that did not break apart when I stepped on them. I removed all of the sand and dumped it in the yard as I did not want to risk our child playing in cement. Before dumping in the yard I tried rinsing the sand and had dark gray water pouring out.

                Quikrete sand
Was not too impressed with my order of sand. One would think it would be hard to mess this order up but they did. First, one bag was rippeed open and I refused to accept it. However, it should have never been brought out. I get home and then realized they shorted me three bags. I called and explained the mishap and since it was the end of the day I advised them I’d come back the next day to pick up the rest. Was a bit disappointed they didn’t offer to bring it to me since this was on them and I would now have to spend my time and gas for their mistake. Picked up the additional bags today and the ripped bag had been taped shut and included among the three. Honestly the guy bringing it out was older than me and really shouldnt be doing that job so I noticed but didnt say a word. Frustrated but not surprised by them.

                  Best Sand for the Money
I was set on buying the best sand for my grandkids sandbox. But the cost for the best stuff was over 10 times this Play Sand. Once at the store and could see the sand thru a broken bag, it looked dark tan and finely ground. Bought (8) bags and the sandbox looks great for around $30 vs $300. Waiting for the kids to arrive.

Great quality sand on a budget.
I wanted to buy sand for my 10gal aquarium and I found that play sand is good as substrate. So I went ahead and bought it. To my surprise, the sand quality is high. It’s nice and soft, the particles are fine as they should be and there is no debris. The quality of the sand is amazing. For use in an aquarium, rinse it well (at least 4 times/ until water is pretty clear ) and you’re good to go. I needed 25lbs for 2in depth in my 10 gal tank. In conclusion, superior quality sand on a budget.
