Q:How deep are the rungs? I bought a Little Giant ladder a few years ago and I hate it. It is heavy for me and the rungs are very narrow. I am in my mid 60's and don't feel safe at all on it. I have 14' ceilings and my air filter is 10 ' high. I'm looking for a lite weight ladder I can easily carry to wherever I need it.

A: The rungs are about 3 1/4" deep. They fit just fine. This is a light and super strong ladder. We use it to get closer to our 11 to 14 feet ceilings. I feel very stable on the ladder. It is not nearly as heavy as the ladder you mentioned.

A: The rungs are 3 1/4 inches deep. This is a very nice ladder. Very stable, easy to carry with the built-in handle, and TALL. I have 12' ceilings and it works well for that height. In fact, I just adjusted most of the air conditioner registers on the ceilings; no problem. I'll bet you like this ladder.

A: It’s light. Rungs are only 3” as stated in the specifications. BUT the idea is you can stand on the platform for solid footing.

A: You sound like me, mid-60's, 14 foot ceilings...I LOVE this ladder. I have no trouble carrying it up 3 flights of stairs because it's so lightweight. And it has a handle that makes it really easy to carry. The ladder locks into place once it is securely opened. It has a shelf on top which is real handy to place light bulbs or air filters or tools so you don't need to be carrying them up the ladder.

A: I am very happy with my Cosco ladder.....the steps are 4" front to back. This ladder is also very sturdy. I'm 6' 2" and weigh 270, and there's no wobble or shakiness at all. The ladder weighs 27 pounds and the carry handle is positioned so the ladder balances perfectly for carrying. I'm 70 years old, and have no trouble with it.

A: Yes, Diane. Easily. The top cross piece will help you feel steady if you need to grasp it at all. Also the ladder is light enough with the excellent handle to maneuver. Just be careful of it's length when bringing indoors. Lamps , vases etc could get hit.

A: Not sure if it would fit inside Would have to put it right to the dashboard. Best to measure the dimensions of your SUV and get the dimensions of the ladder online. It would fit on the roof if you have crossbars.
