Q:This states there is no need to go behind the wall to install - if we are completely redoing our bathroom and replacing the old gold fixtures do we need to purchase anything else, besides the valve? Also, does this model come with the bath tub spout?

A:  Yes it comes with a spout. Just the valve is required. Nothing else

      Q:Our city water is really bad... which finish of faucet will resist the hard water deposits or hide them the best?

      A:  Hi Trish, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17464-SS-I is the best of the three finishes that is offered on this faucet to hide hard water deposits. This can also be cleaned with a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and cold water. Thanks. Jody

        Q:I would like to replace the old shower head, stout and handle but I do not know what model I have. It is about 20 yrs old and it is maybe Delta Classic. Is this set compatible with other models? Thanks.

        A:  Hi Dizi, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17464-RB-I can be used with your current valve if your current valve was a 1700 series valve also. That means it has to have the two handles that sit on top of each other like the T17464-RB-I. If it does, then you will need to keep your old cartridge as the new cartridge will not fit in your current valve. If this needs replaced, please order model RP32104 from your local associate. If the trim package does not look like this set-up, then you will need to install a new rough-in valve to be able to use the T17464-RB-I. We recommend model R10000-UNBX. Thanks. Jody

            Q:I noticed on the handle, there is an extra lever. When you buy just the handle/faucet, there is not that extra lever. What is the lever for?

            A:  Hi Nelly, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17464-SS-I has two handles that sit on top of each other. The larger handle controls the volume and the smaller lever on top independently controls the temperature. If your box did not include both handles, please contact our Home Owner/Warranty line at 800-345-3358 for parts replacement. Thanks. Jody

By using this rough-in valve, it will allow you to service the valve by turning off the screwdriver stops and you will not have to turn off the water in the whole house. Thanks. Jody
