A:  Yes, it can be brought into the fire pit under the burner assembly. It has a 30" vertical rise which will ensure that the yellow PE pipe will be at or below code mandated burial levels and will not be impacted by the heat of the fire pit. A:  Hi, Pappy - Suggest you use 1 #18-445-020 2" transition fitting and 1 #18-440-010 1" transition fitting and a black iron 2" to 1" reducer coupling in between them.

A:  Menards uses to sell Home flex as well but I had to special order all my 1 1/4" risers, tees and elbows at Home Depot .

A:  Hi, Jason - We expect to be back in stock later this coming week. Home Depot ships all risers from their DCs, so once we have stock, there will be a slight lag while the DCs are fulfilled. BTW, all pipe and components are made to very specific material and dimensional standards, so any manufacturers' risers and other parts will fit on like sized pipe from other manufacturers. They are not brand specific.

A:  They are not brand  specific. You just 1-1/4” SDR 11 poly risers. You can try hdpesupply.com.  You can either get the plane and, or you can get the Walrich con-stab  brand which is a better joint than the crappy compression coupling they give you. 

A:  Hi, Joey - Sure. The D2513 SDR-11 poly pipe used on this riser is exactly like any other poly pipe on the market. So long as the fitting you're using is SDR-11, it will work just fine. Keep in mind, however, that a stab fitting is generally a "one and done" item and cannot be removed and reused (as can our compression fitting (18-429-015 available on homedepot.com)).

A:  Depends on local code, but 30" seems really deep for this kind of line, the metal riser wouldn't even be out of the ground. Of course, you could attach a coupler to the top of this riser and then more metal pipe.

A:  Hi, Chris - No, it is against code to alter the part in any way. We suggest that if it is too tall above ground, simply bury the part deeper. Thanks.

A:  No just dig the ground lower and the riser will be the correct height.

A:  It should be no more than than 8 to 10 inches above the ground. If it is more than that then the gas line has not been buried deep enough. Cutting the rise would render it useless as the threads needed to complete the installation would be removed. So the short answer if no it cannot be cut.

A:  No it cannot be cut, just bury it deeper is your only option.

A:  Yes, the size of the MIP on this part is 2" as shown on picture #2 on hd.com . A 2" to 3/4" black iron bell reducer may be found on-line (or check your local Home Depot store). Be sure to use yellow gas Teflon tape between the riser threads and the reducer coupling. A:  Hi, Jack - Thanks for the question. Depth measurements (as mentioned in our design & installation manual) are from the grade level to the top of the horizontal poly line (including fittings) and is referred to as the depth of cover. Therefore, if 18" is required the trench would be approximately 20" allowing for the diameter of the pipe/fittings. The overall height of the meter riser is indeed 30". It is designed to protrude from the ground and has a line on the metal part that shows minimum burial level. Most required trench depths are 12-18", but there are some areas that require a 24" burial depth. Therefore, the 30" riser will fit in all applications and provide access to the MIP threads on the top of it for further hook-up to various applications. Hope this helps. A:  Yes, it’s been a while, but we used a 24” deep trench and the top of the riser sticks up about 6 inches.
