Q:Will this work if I?m running the whole 500ft from supply to house

Answer This Question
A: Hi, Josh - You should refer to our HOME-FLEX Design & Installation Manual to more accurately determine your needs. You'll need the distance from the supply to the house (assuming propane unless the meter is a long way from the house); the total BTU/H of all the appliances in the home; and, of course, the capability of the tank or meter. A: I used chard pipe from the ground up.
by|May 7, 2023
A: This pipe can 't take sunlight so you need to buy a riser to come out of the ground. The riser should have a threaded connection on the end.

A: Hi, Steve - We're a distributor and not set up for direct consumer sales. However, you can order our part number 19-2011500 2" x 500' gas poly pipe at homedepot.com. On line price is $844 per coil with free freight. This is the largest coil we make, so it's advisable that you have them shipped to your local Home Depot store where they have equipment to unload the order as well as to assist loading it in/on your vehicle. Each coil weighs 315 pounds.

Q:Can this be used for below ground water line? I have a 2000' run from my meter to the house.
by|Oct 26, 2022

Answer This Question
A: Hi, Help - This pipe is designed and tested for use with gas. Using it for anything else would be at your own risk. That being said, since it is a gas-tight system, it would probably work for water as well but, again, it's not tested and certified for use with anything but gas.

Q:Can this pipe be run outside in a conduit or does it need to be installed directly in the ground?

Answer This Question
A: Marc - Home Flex Underground is specifically made for direct burial. No need to run it in a conduit for normal household installations. It should never be used in a building or under a foundation with a structure on it. Further, it should always be at or below local code-mandated burial levels.
by|Oct 21, 2022
A: You need to follow code I have this in ground as required and in conduit when going under a concrete retaining wall. Some inspectors want that piece to be black cast iron pipe. Remember if you a installing it your responsibility for the leak or any other accident caused by
improper installation.

A: directly in the ground
by|Oct 28, 2022
A: What is it about this product that dictates that it must be underground. I realize that it is not UV resistant and more puncture prone than iron pipe. But if you put it in UV resistant electrical SCH 40 conduit and clamp it to a wall wouldn't that work?
