Q:Is there any way to soak for extended periods? My wife likes to let white items sit in oxyclean for like 8 hours before she runs the cycle. Am I going to have to turn it off to achieve this? Or is there a setting?

Q:I have this washer and am still unsure how you know how much detergent to use. Sometimes I’m unsure if my load is small, medium or large and how the LG will classify it in the sensing stage. If I think it’s medium and dose detergent that way, what if the washer senses it as small and adds a smaller amount of water to my detergent. Any help is appreciated,

A: It's all a guess as to what the washer decides. We do our best to average and use the medium load amount of detergent and it gets everything clean.
As long as you use the HE or high efficiency type of detergent it doesn't seem to matter too much if it's a little above or below what the washer thinks.

Q:Is this washer all stainless steel construction? Is this the best washer on the market?

A: The wash bin looks stainless to me. The agitator has plastic parts. I do not know if this is the best out there, but it is the best one I have owned. It has a deep cycle wash. It has the largest capacity that I could find. I like the top load because there are no large rubber gaskets like the front load that get mildew. This has an agitator in the center. I feel this helps to get my clothes cleaner.

Q:I was able to get a tub filled rinse on the deep clean cycle. Will try other cycles to see if they do or do not have a tub filled rinse. Do I have to manually request a rinse on certain cycles? Seems odd. Spin cycle is fine, problem is with the rinse cycle only.

A: When it starts the rinse cycle, it sprays water on the clothes. Once the clothes are sprayed, it adds water as is necessary for your load. Rest assured your clothes will be completely rinsed. I sometimes set an Extra Rinse when I've had especially dirty clothes and used more detergent. The best thing to do is not to watch the machine do its job. When it's done, you'll find your clothes are rinsed and ready for drying. If your clothes are soapy or extra wet, then I'd ask for service. The new machines are energy and water efficient and are excellent! They are different from the older machines which used more water and electricity for the same result.

Q:Not sure just spinning and shooting water onto the load will rinse everything efficiently.

A: I'm not clear what you are asking. The washer does rinse. There is an Extra Rinse option and a Rinse + Spin option that can be selected to rinse and spin a load separately from a regular cycle. Please clarify your question so that I can provide an accurate and helpful response. Thank you. ^Daphane
