Answer This Question
A: Carolyn,
Please follow the troubleshooting information provided.
Flame sensor wire not touching the burner. It should be touching the flame when running. (kinks in wire are okay). If the flame sensor is out of the flame it will cause the gas to shut off as it only allows gas flow or shuts off gas flow when it does or does not detect flame.
· Cabinet temperature wire is clean and free of kinks
· There are no blockages in the burner.

Answer This Question
A: I use it primarily for smoking and it's pretty easy to keep between 225 & 275, outside of the spikes that come when you add wood (the propane is always on) which go up to 500 +. So 200 to 600 I'd say.

A: I have seen it hold at 200 F and go up to 300 F. I have never tried going higher than 300 F for smoking meat, but I am sure it would.
Also I use a digital remote thermometer so I feel like this is pretty accurate.
I hope this helps.

Answer This Question
A: Dear Jane,
No, Masterbuilt® smokers cannot be converted to natural gas. Our units are tested and designed to operate on LP gas and our company does not do any testing with natural gas. Therefore, we do not sell a natural gas conversion kit nor recommend the use of natural gas with our products.
