      Answer This Question

A:  Our siding boards are generally designed to be used as wall cladding for exterior surfaces, although it is occasionally used indoors as well as for ceilings / soffits. If you have existing porch but want to cover it in our composite material in an Ipe color, it would be recommended to use our deck tiles, listed here: https://www.homedepot.com/p/NewTechWood-UltraShield-Naturale-1-ft-x-1-ft-Quick-Deck-Outdoor-Composite-Deck-Tile-in-Brazilian-Ipe-10-sq-ft-per-box-US-QD-ZX-IP/206414799. Answer This Question

A:  Hi, Phil. Each 16-foot board weighs 21.12 lbs so it would be 1.32 lbs / linear foot. Each 14 board bundle would therefore be 295.68 lbs. The ratio of linear feet to square feet is 2.4 linear feet per square foot, so each square foot is 3.16800 lbs.

Q:After the ten year warranty is it paint-able?

                    Answer This Question

A:  While our warranty is for 10 years, we expect the product to last longer than that. It would not be worth damaging the product in this way, despite the expiration of the warranty. Additionally, paint will not stick to the decking, although certain plastic-specific paints may last longer. Nevertheless, it is not advised to paint the material as it will not stay.

                      Answer This Question

A:  Hi Jacob. The extra groove cut serves to hold the siding in place using the clip. You can install the siding using our installation directions here http://www.newtechwood.com/us/pdf/Siding_Installation.pdf and here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANHI4c_ZJdI. These would help address your other questions as well.
