A:  Our siding boards are generally designed to be used as wall cladding for exterior surfaces, although it is occasionally used indoors as well as for ceilings / soffits. A:  There are 14 boards of 16-feet lengths in a 14-piece bundle. This comes out to 224 linear feet, and about 101.8 square feet.

A:  There are 14 pieces per bundle.

A:  Hi, Phil. Each 16-foot board weighs 21.12 lbs so it would be 1.32 lbs / linear foot. Each 14 board bundle would therefore be 295.68 lbs. The ratio of linear feet to square feet is 2.4 linear feet per square foot, so each square foot is 3.16800 lbs.

A:  Yes, the boards can be installed vertically.

A:  While our warranty is for 10 years, we expect the product to last longer than that. It would not be worth damaging the product in this way, despite the expiration of the warranty. Additionally, paint will not stick to the decking, although certain plastic-specific paints may last longer. Nevertheless, it is not advised to paint the material as it will not stay.

A:  Hi Jacob. The extra groove cut serves to hold the siding in place using the clip.
