            Q:have an old unit & the red light blinks but sometimes the green/yellow light comes on for a short time & then cuts off. I am not sure if the unit is working correctly?

            A:  Thank you for contacting us. The green light cycles off and on in random patterns so yes it is in working order. Should the light stop cycling it would be time to replace. Thank you

              A:  Thank you for your question. Per the instructions the unit has 2 green lights one that flashes all the time and the other cycles off and on in random patterns. This indicates the unit is working as it should. Thanks

                A:  Thank you for question. The newer units have 2 green lights. The units do not have an expiration date. The average life span has been 1-3 years. As long as the lights remain operational this let's you know they are in working order.
