Q:Can this cut granite countertops? Can the blade be replaced to use as a polisher?
          by|Oct 24, 2023
          1 Answer
          Answer This Question

A:  Hello Sarah, the QEP 700XT3/4 HP Wet Tile Saw can be used to cut granite, however, you will want to use our 6-7008BW 7"BLACK WIDOW PORCELAIN BLADE instead of the model# 6-7003Q blade that comes with the tile cutter. The 6-7008BW will easily cut through granite, which is considerably denser than porcelain or ceramic.

              by|Oct 20, 2023
              1 Answer
              Answer This Question

A:  Hello Jillcrook, yes, this tile saw will cut terra cotta tile - as long as it does not exceed a thickness of 1¼ inches. As for glass tile projects you will want to remove the blade that comes with the cutter (model # 6-7003Q) and use the 7" Glass Cutting Blade instead - model # 6-7007GL, which is specifically designed to deliver smooth, clean cuts when using glass tile.
