A: It is a wax treated paper. It does not contain any asphalt materials, without odor emissions or toxic materials in the product. Radiant heat systems should be used max at temps at 80 degrees F or less during floating applications(per industry standard). Always follow the floor covering manufacturers specific substrate preparation guidelines.

A: I wouldn’t stay its water proof, more like moister resistance. It what we put down under or solid oak flooring, as a moister barrier, that was recommended by the manufacturer

Q:Can I use the Robert Waxed Paper Underlayment for Wood Flooring ON TOP OF the hardwood floor to protect it from a vinyl exercise mat that is being placed on top of it for an elliptical machine? I have read that rubber mats can ruin hardwood floor due to a chemical reaction with the finish of the hardwood floor, and I am worried that the same thing might occur with a vinyl rubber mat unless there is something between it and the hardwood floor.
