A: I have found over the years that people tend to mix partial quantities of Redi mixed products, They tend to work best when you mix a complete bag at a time as the contents are pre-measured for the best possible results. Use a bag at atime.

A: We used the Rapid Set Mortar Mix for concrete counter tops. Doing a little research it looks like you will need a Refractory Mortar-Dry Mix. Check Youtube. Here is one link -

A: I say yes. I used it to fill in small, medium, and large gaps between roof tiles and was able to smooth it in to most any configuration. Worked with small batches since it begins to set pretty quick.

A: Yes it can if there is at least 1/8" depth. Deeper would be better. Grind out the imperfections and fill with the mix quickly.

A: I had a large section missing and tons of cracked or large areas of stucco missing- I took down everything loose and used this to recover the entire are ( thinly in areas that were sound) and it came out great. Limited working time so I used no more than half a 5 gallon bucket at a time. Def would recommend- 2 years later still looks great with no cracking

Q:We added Sakrete cement color to the rapid set mortar and put it on a cement block wall. The installation went fine, and we misted it with water to keep it moist while curing. After it cured, there were white lines from the water running down the surface. How do we clean the white lines off?

A: Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot regarding your concrete project. The materials used may be having a Efflorescence phenomenon common with concrete. To fix the problem at this point, clean the surface with a mild acid or efflorescence remover (some manufacturers make special efflorescence cleaners) followed by sealing. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.
