A:  This Razor-Back steel rake head has a powder coated finish that will help prevent rust. But, all steel rusts eventually. Especially if stored outside 24/7.

A:  That's odd. I've had this for at least a year and I've left it outside most of the time. I dont see any rust on it yet. It's been in the rain and hot summer and still seems to be fine. It's a good rake for the price.

A:  According to my husband, he has seen no rust and he's had it for several months.

A:  Keep it glorified with time and WD-40.

A:  I have owned and used my rake for 2 years now! No rust on it! Love it!

A:  Not really. MYbe if close but rake is so worth it. Strong and metal.

A:  Yes, the steel tines can get caught in a chain link fence.

A:  i don’t think it would do a good job for mulch

A:  Yes, a steel tine leaf rake can be used to rake loose mulch, but it is not ideal. If this is old mulch you want to rake up and dispose of, we recommend the Razor-Back Bow Rake Model # 2853900. It will dig deeper into the old mulch. And if it is compact, the bow rake will help break up the mulch so that it is easier to clean up.

A:  I had no problem raking small branches up

A:  not sure what you mean but yes on twigs mulch and leaves. just will sometimes get caught in the tines

A:  I certainly would try but it would depend on the size of the branches.

A:  You can really use this rake for small tree branches and heavy piles of leaved

A:  It arrives in a box but it is put on it in sections. So part of one box on the tines then they had a regular box for the rest of it but it was heavily taped.

A:  When I purchased this rake it was shipped to store then I picked it up at the store. I didn’t think they would actually ship this item to my home. But it is a great quality rake.

A:  No but you can buy one & remove the handle.

A:  I don't remember seeing just the rake head in the store. Perhaps the website can answer that.
