              Answer This Question

A:  Sakrete Fence Post Concrete Mix can be either mixed beforehand and poured into the hole or you can add the proper water required for the mix directly into the hole first and then add the mix. After adding the mix secondly you must consolidate the mix. IE: using a rod to ensure it has been void of air pockets.

Q:what is the average amount needed to set a 8ft 4 x 4 good post 2 feet deep?
                by|Oct 5, 2023
                1 Answer
                Answer This Question

A:  Joe, When setting post we advise that the depth be 1/3 the length of the post and 3 x's the width of the post. With this said. We will calculate the amount needed at 2' depth x 12" diameter. This will take approximately 4/50 lb. bags of Fence Post Concrete.
