A: I purchased this gel to attract mice that had gotten into an exterior garage. It worked immediately and that ended the problem there. I decided to use it in an area of my basement that does get damp and has gotten other, regular food bait, moldy. That was several months ago and just checked the traps after reading this question. It looks like the gel has slid through the metal bait section of the snap trap and appears to have been absorbed by the wooden plate. I also have some in the center of some glue traps and that gel looks as though it has been covered in sawdust. Not sure if it's mold but there has definitely been some sort of reaction. I haven't really checked the traps because I have not really seen any mice in quite some time. After having privacy bushes removed from the rear of the property I located a small hole in the window frame of a basement window which I believe was the entry point for past mice. I also placed an outdoor bait station I purchased at Home Depot on the exterior wall of my garage. Since doing these things, I haven't seen any mice or droppings in the garage or house. I do check the bait station occasionally and have seen that the bait has been eaten.
A: This product contains attractant gel, bait is not needed. Feel free to reach out with any other questions or concerns.
A: I bought some liquid that said is better than peanut butter. Nothing can substitute peanut butter.
A: Yes they do
A: I bought this gel to add to the Tomcat traps but didn’t catch anything. Tried peanut butter and bacon grease and didn’t catch anything, either, so these were some smart rats.
A: No I doesn’t it attracts on its own.
A: I don't see why not, but I've never used it that way
A: no

A: I believe it can, but don’t waste your money. It didn’t attract anything for me.
A: I don't believe it should be used on glue traps. Although I did briefly consider putting a drop on two in the middle of one to see if it would attract a mouse. I caught several mice using the glue traps right out of the box so it didn't seem necessary to use gel.
A: Did not work at all for me, had better luck with peanut butter in the traps.
A: It's not at all, the rats don't even notice it on the trap.
A: No none what so ever with mice
A: I think I got a rat with this once. I had a rat chewing under my house. I put this out and then a couple of days later, no more chewing. I never found a body but something got into the gel. That said, I have had better luck with traps and cheese. I think though it depends on what flavor of rat you have (some will go for the gel, some like cheese) etc... Good luck!
A: We appreciate your question regarding Tomcat Attractant Gel. This product will indeed attract rats as well as mice, however, it is only a bait and not a control. We encourage you to contact us at 877-220-3089 if there is anything else that we can assist you with.
A: Arizona pack rats love the stuff. They are clever though. I was finding my trap snapped with no rat and no bait. Finally set two snap traps back to back (bait sides touching) between cinderblocks to funnel them in. That's been very effective.
