A:  The pitched VELUX Sun Tunnel is intended for a slope of at least 3/12 or 14.5 degrees. We do offer a curb mounted TCR that will work in that application. A:  Yes this is just a skylight. some companies do offer a solar powered light option in their tube products.

A:  This particular product is a VELUX Sun Tunnel skylight "without" the solar-powered night light.

A:  I think the maximum recommended tunnel length is 20ft. That's 2 stories.

A:  30 feet would be the maximum distance using 14 inch rigid tubing.

A:  Yes. If you have moderate to advanced DIY skill, it’s not difficult. The first one is a little tricky, but there are online tutorials. 4-6 hour project.

A:  VELUX manufactures a motorized daylight controller that will fit the 14 inch rigid sun tunnel models. The powered wall switch can operate up to 10 daylight controllers. Parts needed are: ZTP 014 (daylight controller) and the ZZZ 233 (powered wall switch) reach out to your local Home Depot store for pricing as this is a Special Order.

A:  I don't think so. It is suppose to let light in .No heat comes from it like a sky light
