Bought these stakes to put around our trees. Put 4 around the small tree and then wrapped twine around the stakes to make a type of fencing barrier to stop male dogs from peeing on our trees. The stakes were basically working good. Easy to hammer into the ground. What I didn't like is that we had to be careful on what packages we bought. Many of the packages had stakes with knots on the them that would weaken the strength of the stake. Because we couldn't check the inside stakes, we did get a couple that had bad knots on them and they broke when we started hammering on them. In the picture I posted, you can see one stake with a notch in it. The other smaller stake is the one that had the knot and it broke. Other than that, these worked great for what we needed them for. If by chance the twine idea doesn't keep dogs out, we can easily staple fencing to the stakes to make the areas more secure.

The grading stakes were exactly what we were looking for. I didn't give a five star because there were a couple, from the three packs that I purchased, that were faulty.

Well shaped and adequate for signs or garden use. Bound together well but the cardboard surround was flimsy and had already fallen apart before I left the store.

Four of the stakes (one-third of them) broke at the knot. I needed 10 stakes but only had 8 so they didn’t help at all. Oddly, all stakes that had knots were from the middle of the package do you could’ve see they had knots. My suggestion is to buy double what you need - wish I had!

The minute we tried to hammer the steak into the ground they broke. Mind you some broke when removed out of the package.

Good wood grade stakes. Did the job well.

I used a small sledgehammer to pound these into fairly hard packed ground. Others had commented about stakes splitting around knots, but I had no problems at all. Perfect for my needs.

They were all warped.

I was only able to use 4 out of the 12 stakes due to excessive knots. The knots were 3/4 the width of the stakes. When I began hammering them into the ground, the knots fell out and left a sliver of wood on the stake. The next hit with the hammer broke them. These were expensive to begin with, and now my cost per good stake went up by 3X. Total rip off due to poor quality.

1/3 of them broke/missing half the wood on one side before trying to put them in the ground or were already in 2 pieces. Customer survive was great and let me tread them in

They worked great, but the ones that have knots in them break when you are putting them in the ground. Probably 3 per package

Some were already broken in the package and others were cut so different from each other.

Great for marking boundaries

It would be great if available as pressure treated material to slow down the rotting process.

Even though I'm a vegetarian, I enjoyed these stakes.

The stakes in my bundle had a lot of knots. For every one stake we could mallet into the ground, two stakes BROKE at the knots.

The stakes broke while trying to install them.
