I have a drop light that I use for working on my cars and trucks. I have been using an incandescent "rough service" lamp in the drop light for years. The rough service bulbs hold up well, but they get very hot and when I am working in very close quarters like up under the dashboard or underneath the vehicle, they can burn, so I wanted to try one of these LED bulbs which I figured would not get so hot. So far it has worked very well indeed. It does not get hot and it will certainly never burn me. Time will tell whether it will hold up as well to the bumping and jostling when working in the innards of an automobile, but so far it has endured some minor bumps with no ill effects and the light is bright and I can see with it very well.

These are a very good replacement for any old 60-watt bulbs. The daylight lumens brightness is accurate and bright, but the frosted glass helps avoid harshness. They are dimmable, but that is not relevant to my needs. Like most Americans, I went from incandescent to mercury-containing CFLs (‘curlies’) to LED bulbs. I do think it’s past time for the industry to better educate the public on lumens, color, and wattage—us in the ‘older’ generation can easily relate to “40-Watt equivalent” because we grew up using standard incandescent bulbs all our lives (I don’t think this isn’t true anymore). What matters is brightness (lumens), color (e.g., soft white, daylight), LED wattage.

I have been purchasing LED bulbs for some time now. I have several different brands and styles. I have typically used the soft white bulb, but decided to try these daylight bulbs. I choose to place them in the master bath. The bulbs have the glass all the way around instead of the half plastic models. This allows for light to shine all around. The daylight bulb is much brighter than the soft white. The tone of the white light is a bit warmer. It has definitely made a difference in the bathroom when getting ready. We have had several rainy days recently, turning these on really did make you feel like the sun was shining in through the window. Having only owned them a short time, I can't say for sure how long they will last. They appear to be of good quality. I am definitely getting more of these. I really like the full glass bulb versus the plastic versions.

40-Watt Equivalent A19 Frosted Glass Filament Dimmable LED Light Bulb Daylight (6-Pack) review: This is the way to buy lightbulbs - six at a time. Being LED lights they should last for quite a long time. I really like the daylight kelvin rating of 5000 degrees kelvin. Colors look accurate and intense. My wife likes the softer glow of the 2700 degree kelvin temperature but I prefer the daylight balance. Glad we got these. There ya go!

Frosted A19 LED light bulbs. Buying a light bulb is not like it used to be. You have choices so that the light is just right for the application. This light bulb is a direct replacement of 60 watt incandescent equivalent that gives the light of a sunny day and is 5000K, compering to a realistic colors unaffected by the yellow of an old fashioned 2700k incandescent bulb. This bulb is perfect if you are not trying to warm a room up. It should be used in a closet, a laundry room or any place where you would like to see colors and details as they would be seen outdoors on a bright sunny day. If you end up using these bulbs in living area you should rest a peace because they are dimmable bulbs and they work perfectly fine with my Z-wave dimmer via wink. The bulbs are make as realistic as possible to old fashion bulbs they are make out of glass with no plastic neck and with chrome plated threaded base, if you place this bulb next to old one you would have difficulty to determinate which one is LED. As for power usage this one uses only 6.5W per hour.
