Film looks very dark in the package, however when it is installed it looks very much like on the picture. Film is very heavy and easy to apply. Use plenty of soapy water and squeegee. Easy to fit together multiple packages horizontally and vertically - very much like wallpaper. Add 5-7 extra mm when pre-cutting, this will give you some room to adjust the film on the window surface. Trim edges with utility knife. Provides 100% privacy.

I'm thrilled with this product! I used it to cover up the the side long window by the front door. It's beautiful, provides privacy. It took a LOT of measuring and planning to make it just right but it was well worth it! Love it!!

Easy Application. I bought the Gila Application Set just in case. However, the instructions indicate all you need is soapy water. The results are wonderful. I used it for a small bathroom window.

Was happy to find this realistic looking alternative to real stained glass. Applied more easily than regular window film.

I have a few windows that I really didn't want to cover with curtains, so I decided to go this route. I love the product itself, but it does NOT cover two parts of a sash window. To do both the top and the bottom of a 20" x 20" double sash window is about $42. That's pretty freakin' expensive. It also "shrinks" a good 1/4 of an inch once removed from the paper backing, so give yourself some wiggle room. It also does not trim well when it's wet--right after application--and tears easily at this point. If you want a flawless application, consider applying it to a piece of plexiglass and then framing that and putting it in front of your window. I have seen other people do this (makes a great light defuser as well) and it looks really nice.

Just got one roll when I should have gotten two. My fault for not measuring window. But I cut it in half and used that one roll on both windows where I could get more privacy. I will buy another roll to cover the rest of the windows. This film was so easy to apply, thick paper, not thing, and very rich looking colors. You can't see in or out, perfect for my apartment and gives me just the right light so it's not too dark. Makes the bedroom look so beautiful. I purchased the Harbor View headboard at the same time, so it all fits so beautifully together. Very happy with this purchase. Just wish there was more to the roll.

We installed this film on the top portion of our north facing front door window about 7 years ago. Recently we decided to put it on the bottom portion of the door as well. Even though it's been quite a few years, the old film's colors had only faded slightly so that when we installed the new film on the bottom half of the door, it matched extremely closely. Installation is super simple - after cutting to size and spraying a little soapy water onto the glass, the film easily slides around on the glass until it's in the position desired. Takes literally seconds on a door like ours. We actually lifted the old film about half way up the window to clean underneath. Afterwards we soaped the area and the 7 year film reattached like new again. The new piece of film's design matched up with the old piece's design perfectly. We have a lot of kids. With this being on the front door, we weren't sure of it getting damaged; but it's extremely difficult to damage as it looks and feels like it becomes part of the glass even though it doesn't. This design creates total privacy - when someone is outside the door, all we can see is an extremely faded shadowy glob. The design also brightens the room. Everyone who visits our house always remarks on the film. They're always completely shocked to find out it's only film. SO ... beautiful design, high quality film, ultra-private design, room brightening, and super easy installation!

Stunningly simple to install. No need to buy the extra sprays, just use a fine mist pump sprayer. I used an old 2 ounce one that previously held body spray. Just clean it out, add a few drops of Dawn dish soap, shake it up & you are ready. Apply to a clean window, place premeasured piece, squeegee all excess soapy water & bubbles out & voila!! You don't need to use a box cutter. I used regular scissors after measuring. I love the look & the privacy. It makes the bathroom look bigger. It really holds up. I was skeptical that it would stay in place after we got -20 below weather in Minnesota. (Yes, negative 20, with -40 windchill.) That window had ice on the INSIDE for several days, right over the product, but it never budged or lost it's color from the ice. It still looks beautiful!! I am not a "window cling" person, because I think those look cheap. This isn't like that. It's like well-made translucent wallpaper for windows. We tested the privacy at night with lights on. From just a few feet away you can barely tell someone is in the bathroom & can only see vague shadows. Sorry, I think the photos are going to show up sideways. I also lined up the pattern, which was simple.

I was skeptical of this but I needed something to provide privacy for a bathroom. I wanted something different other than a blind. This was very easy to install. Plus it provides a very decorative item in your house. I would definitely recommend this to others!

Cats have wonderful way of ensuring you always live in fear. As you get out of your shower they tear down the curtains or shades. Did you know shades to cats are a jungle gym component? This is my second design from ArtScape. The colors are vibrant. It is pleasant to look at outside the window as well as in. While not designed to be complete privacy for a bedroom it does give you time to put up a blanket should the window covers come tumbling down. It is semi-private. If it is placed in an window that gets direct sun it will fade, but I'm in Florida. It is hot. I never do get the trim cut even but I barely notice it with the cat trying to look out it all the time.On this Halloween I say the scariest thing about having cats is windows and how to cover them!

Doesn't cling as well as I had hoped over the long term (tips and edges curl away from glass) but a little clear tape fixes that and it looks very nice.

I had bought Gila film in rice paper to cover the window above my door. It was hard to work with and didn't look as good as I had hoped. I replaced it with the ArtScape Magnolia print which looks MUCH BETTER and it was much easier to work with. I wanted something that looked nice on the half moon shaped window, but I didn't care for the blinds that cover these spaces because I didn't want to lose all of the light that comes in the window. This was a great option that I am very happy with. I got 2 more rolls to cover the window below it and another print in the ArtScape to cover some basement windows.

We have owned a cottage for many years now and have been struggling with fading furniture problems. Until one day, my spouse (giving credit where credit is due), came home with this new product. Though I was sceptical at first, once this film was easily mounted to the windows I began to see our once problem transomes as blessings in disguise. Many of our friends have commented on how wealthy we must be to have been able to afford such a luxury (as stained glass windows) and we even had a friend bring in his ladder, so that he could actually see that this was not indeed real. As a DIY project this was very quick and easy, though for our larger transome an extra set of hands was a big help. The repeat pattern helped to reduce waste on the larger window. What a great and inexpensive way to change that look of a home.

I had a remodel of my master bathroom & needed a covering on the naked window which the window film did the job. I have used this window film before. This is a wonderful item.

This is twice as expensive and you get half as much as you get from an online store. But the stuff you get online is very poor quality. This window film at Home Depot is good quality, installs well, and is worth the cost. Would buy again.

was able to install the film yesterday just took a little time and look good on the window and does a great job for a front facing window.

I like it in my windows. It helps to block a lot of the direct sunlight, and I don’t have to have blinds up or curtains which I detest and this is pretty when the sun comes through it.

Beautiful and easy to apply

Quality is good. I was hoping it would block out light more, but it’s ok. I would love it if you sold precut half-moon shape for easy install on palladium windows. Once I did this cut, there was not much use for any of the other film, I hate waste!

I had such high hopes but it was an absolute rip off. Very small for the price and did not cover my window. The ends were curling up, tried to trim it and make it look nicer. I didn't want the neighbors to point and laugh at my unit, Needless to say I am Very disappointed.

Carefully following directions, this installs nicely and is very good looking.

Easy to apply, looks nice. The pictures on Home Depot's web site are an accurate representation of how it looks.

Makes my happy every time I look at it.
