Pot is right size. Decent material thickness. Good color. Not sure about “self” watering.

The very large, self-watering pot nicely holds a smaller pot in which Giant Elephant Ears are planted. We started with a drought and now have ample rain, so the inner pot can drain but the outer pot also retains water that be drawn back into the smaller pot. Glad I tried this idea this year. The color also matches our patio umbrella.

Quality nice. Design flaw in that the "self watering" feature keeps the plant lifted from sitting on the bottom, it your plant will literally drown/get root rot with heavy rain . The excess water does not drain . Would be better with drain holes and watering more. frequentl

Very nice. I used it for my outdoor tomatoes and other fruits. I did drill holes on the side towards the bottom for rain overflow.

There are no instructions on how the self-watering works, and it is not apparent. I am using it as a large pot and watering regularly.

drill drain holes on the sides at the tray level
If your pot is filling up with water with no place to go, bottom holes will defeat the purpose of the self watering aspect of this pot. Drill 4, 1/4" holes in the sides, exactly the same height above or below the tray. There are farmers on You Tube who make self watering pots out of their feed buckets, who do this,so that the water does not fill up into the dirt area. You can also add some filter fabric, just above the tray to make sure the dirt does not go down into the water reservoir.

So far, the new pot is working out really well. I transplanted my Aleppo Pine from a 12" pot to this 17.75"one so that it can grow more. No complaints.
