The App takes a while to understand and navigate because there are no written or on-line instructions about programing. After some trial and error I have it programed to my liking. I particularly like the rain delay feature because I did not have the rain sensor on my system.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I rated this product GOOD only because you must be prepared to run, change, update, modify, etc. the program on your phone. There will be a learning curve. At least there was for me. If you are comfortable with this the product is rated at excellent. The installation was very simple and easy with well written instructions. I live in Southwest Florida and we get rain forecast almost every day and it will be scattered. A block away they got one inch. We got nothing. This gives the Blossom a bit of a hard time because it uses an internet type program to determine if the sprinkler should run. Most areas of the US have lesser of a problem of scattered rainfall day in and day out. The unit runs exactly as promised and, once learned, the program is easy to run and/or change. If you feel the sprinkler should run a couple of keyboard clicks does it. It gives my male ego a big bounce when I show someone how I control my sprinkler from my phone. If you like the newer gadget out, this is for you and it does work as promised. Also,one call to customer service was answered quickly and I got my answer right away. You will be happy with this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Blossom in early August. Connecting the Blossom was very easy just by following the directions it was a snap. Pairing the Blossom to my smart phone was also just as easy, once you download the app from the app store. I really got a kick out of the whole process and I am still in the learning process. I use the Smart Water feature and it is very impressive. Blossom uses GPS and your local weather to adjust the watering for you. No need for a separate device for the rain hanging from you gutter. Managing the values is very simple you can adjust each one base on the amount of sun, plant type, head type, soil type and grading. I am very impressed and would recommend the Blossom to anyone who like tech, it takes the guessing out of your watering. To steal a phrase “Set It And Forget It”

Worst tech item I have ever purchased. It does not work as advertised and it is obvious that Scott's has no intention of correcting the problems. DO NOT BUY THIS!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was very easy to install and activate with my Samsung Galaxy Smart Phone. Removing my old controller and using the included labels to attach to my old controller wires was very simple. mounting the unit was easy, but the front cover feels flimsy and seems that it could easily break when you take it off. attaching the wires from my old controller to the Blossom was simple. i would recommend that you strip fresh wire to make it better to insert into the connectors on the blossom. after everything was hooked up, powered it on. i was able to download the app to my phone and successfully pair to the blossom. setting up zones and configuring the app was simple and easy to do. there is even additional room to put in additional zones in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Blossom 7 was easy to install. It replaced an existing timer that was old and failing. It look less than 20 minutes. It took longer to install the software on my phone and work out a few problems. I had to call customer support for their help. The three different people I talked to there were friendly and helpful, but it did take three different calls. If you do not enjoy working with installing new programs on your phone and setting up passwords and such get a 4th grader to help you with this step. There is a learning curve to figure out the software, and a few of the options are not currently working. The company is working on the software problems and hope to have them solved soon. Since I am still learning the system my review is not 100% complete, perhaps I can add to it later. One problems I had was that the Blossom tended to over water one zone where my yard is not level. I had water run off and had to dial back the system. Here is a feature I think I will like. I am going out of town soon, and could not find anyone to water my container plants. I have placed them in the yard in zone four and intend to water them daily form our vacation destination. I could not find a setting to water that one zone everyday, but I can start it remotely every day we will be gone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just installed the Blossom 7 Smart Watering Controller this weekend, and I am astonished. The installation was pretty straightforward as just follow the wiring from your previous controller for your zone setup. Downloaded the App from the Apple IOS Store, and verified my emailed address and home address for initial installation. Pairing through bluetooth was easy to follow during the setup phase. Once installed, and paired the Blossom 7 Controller worked flawlessly. I setup my zone watering times through the app, and one thing that I really like is that I can control my sprinkler from anywhere that I am.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Blossom Irrigation Controller is an outstanding product! It was very easy to replace my existing controller. The average homeowner will have no problem at all installing the new Blossom Controller with the step by step instructions. I installed the Blossom Controller in less than 20 minutes. It was easy to set up my irrigation zones for watering. My old controller was very time consuming and difficult to set up, but not with the Blossom unit. The Blossom Controller hands down surpasses my old controller. In past, where my old controller was located, I had to use a flashlight. Now I can use my iphone to turn the system on and off with a touch of finger. No need to physically go to the controller to turn the system on or off. In addition with the Blossom Controller there is no need for a water level sensor. The Blossom Controller has the capability to utilize the actual local weather conditions which is impressive. Technical online and live support for the Blossom Controller is available which is also noteworthy. All in all, this is an outstanding controller! I highly recommend the Blossom Irrigation Controller!!

This product takes the guess work involving watering. It connects to WIFI so its location specific and provides EXACTLY the amount of water you need with no waste. It even senses rain and will postpone or delay the next days watering. You can even control the unit remotely so repairs are ALOT easier now than before *how many of us have had to turn the water on, see the leak, then run to turn off the water. with this you can do all that right from the broken sprinkler. no more running!!). Set it and forget it. Piece of cake. You can also log in and turn the unit on from anywhere.

Installation was simple, and zone setup using the iOS App was easy as well. Only one hiccup was it stopped working and system boot didn't work so I had to get support on the phone. Tech person was available right away and had me to do a hard reset and got it back running again. I attached a wifi switch on it just in case I have to reboot it remotely. I am happy it also knows local weather and not water when no need. Nice addition to my Home automation, plus Alexa works with it as well.

Easy to set up. Works great with Alexa. Maybe not as many options as others but it meets the needs of most and is less expensive. The weather pattern forecast does appear to work as well eliminating the need for my rain sensor.

Works as advertised. Simple/easy to install once you have a Smartphone so you can download the app. After defining a desired watering schedule, the unit did not turn on the sprinklers when there was rain "in the area" the day before it was scheduled. As of this review, I'm more than please with the results.

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to review this product. I live in the southern California desert where the average summer temperature reaches around 115 degrees. In order to keep even the small bits of grass that I have green they need to be watered a lot...and sometimes on the extreme hot 120+ degree days they may need an additional watering. Having the convenience to turn the sprinklers on with the click of the button if I feel they need a bit more water is great and really saves my grass. Installation was quite simple and actually very similar to that of changing a smart thermostat which I've done. The unit does need to be placed indoors and should not be outside where it could be exposed to rain, snow, or extreme direct heat. I am a bit worried though about how it will do in my garage where the temperature can still reach well over 100 degrees, but only time will tell.

Unbelievable unit, very easy to install and configuration took less than 15 minutes. Now I am up and running with a “smart” watering system. It changes the watering patterns everyday, depending on the weather forecast. The phone application is intuitive and bug free. Let’s hope it saves me water.

Extremely easy setup and pretty reliable app based on my experience the past week. What I don't like is that it waters at varying durations but doesn't report why it did, and sometimes it will water a zone twice in an evening (I no idea why). Some of us like to know if there's a reason for this, otherwise we'll think it's a bug in the app. Another limitation that will likely make me return this product is its inability to water morning and evening. You can split up waterings up to 8 hours in the "middle" of a watering cycle, but you cannot program two separate watering times in a 24 hour period, as confirmed by Blossom's tech support. For those of us that like to water before sunup and after sundown, this is a deal breaker.

Typically I would submit several pictures with my review but there isn't much to show except maybe the terminal strip where the wires go. Everything else is already shown on The Home Depot product page. The unit has no manual way to set anything. It's all done through your Apple or Android device. That is something of a plus and a minus. For example, my current Android table with Android 5.1.1 doesn't support the app so I borrowed a friend's iPad to set up the unit for now. Like some other folks, I wish that this could be set up using an ordinary Windows PC. There are still far more than a billion of those in use today. There was one other simple glitch during startup. My confirmation email that is sent during setup from the Blossom folks was going to "junk" for some reason. I did have one sent to my wife's email before I thought to check the junk folder. So if you are not getting that confirmation email check out your junk folder. The app is simple enough to use and the user interface, at least on iOS, is easy to navigate. There is only one watering program that gets stored as far as I could see. Some other smart sprinkler controllers allow for several programs to be stored. The best feature of all these smart controllers seems to be the skipping of watering cycles if you have had a recent rain or if it is anticipated very close to your watering cycle. I am not sure if there is a big advantage to having the watering device type such as spray head versus drip as long as you can water long enough for proper watering. Also, having a place to note the type of vegetation in each zone seems nice but non-essential. Again, the real reason for anyone to have these smart controllers seems to be to avoid watering when it has just rained or will rain during or near your next cycle. I'm still waiting for someone to allow input to the controller from some sort of moisture sensor that will assure moisture at the proper root depth. Maybe someone has already implemented that I have just have not seen it.

This has taken watering to a whole new level. A really smart idea to monitor your water usage, especially for us Californian's. Easy to install and replace your old water time. Fast switch out with simple disconnection and then connect wiring to the new Blossom unit. Then download the Blossom APP and follow the simple prompts for setting up your different watering needs, lawn, beds, containers etc and how and when to water. What's really cool is that this pulls satellite weather for your specific area and adjusts your watering based on weather and overall needs. I like that I can manually override and shut off or water additional as needed. I think this could really help conserve my water usage over the year(s) which is fabulous!

The Blossom Smart Watering Controller is a revolutionary idea however you need a strong WiFi signal and I just do not have it. I can see where this technology would be a water saver and probably a great thing for my backyard here in Arizona. It was an easy 30 minute hook up for me. The App appears to do it all. How handy this would be if only I had an internet provider that was up to speed in my area. I will store "Blossom" away and when fiberoptics get to my area you can be assured I will hook it up again.
