Installed this one because of the smaller footprint required. It's a decent fan, but it's noisy. Replaced the flexible ducting with a section of rigid duct immediately out the fan but no improvement.

Low noise level and suitable cfm for a small bath fan. Well made, good instructions, easy install. I purchased this bath fan for a remodeled bath. The install was completely done without having to enter the attic. The toughest part of this project was cutting the ceiling to size.

Results May Vary
Installation was straight forward enough. I have blown-in insulation and it ended up all over my bathroom, so I didn't stay as mess free as I would have liked. I agree with the other reviews that said this fan isn't any quieter than the 4 sone fan it's replacing. Once mounted, the fan rattles like crazy. If it wasn't for the fact that I cut drywall to make it fit, i would probably take it back.
Only positive is that it does clear the bathroom pretty well.

This was bought to replace a "builder grade" exhaust fan in master bath. Easy install, but the grill looks cheap. I thought the old one was obnoxiously loud. This new fan is louder - sound like a small leaf blower! I will be returning this product.

We would want you to check to see what duct size was used on your previous model ventilation fan. Many of the older, builder grade fans used a 3" round duct size. Our ARN80 would require a 4" round duct size. Reducing the duct size can decrease the performance and increase the sound. If the duct size is not the issue, we have other things you can check to try to determine what may be causing the issue. Please contact our Technical Support for more assistance at 888-336-6151.

This fan was purchased for a guest bedroom. Installation was easy as advertised, but the fan is definitely on the noisier side. Since this is a guest bath it doesn't bug me too much. Had I installed this fan in a master bathroom it would be going back due to the noise.
