Poor quality and design
This was pretty much the only option for a wall vent on the shelf next to various ceiling fans at Home Depot. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere or try to find a better and more solid product. Not only is this one very cheaply made and the design of the flap allows for water and critters to get in, the last thing that got me over the edge cussing was the zip ties that are too short to wrap around the pipe and of course I managed to collapse the thin tin pipe. Just wasted time and money.

leaks in rainy weather
I installed this wall vent ducting kit for a customer who purchased it and provided it. The duct was venting a new bathroom exhaust fan, during wind and rainy weather it would fly open and leak rainwater into the bathroom exhaust fan and leak onto the bathroom floor. We replaced it due to poor design.

The kit came with everything I needed. I would recommend using the roof venting kit if possible. I was venting from my basement so this was a more convenient option and it worked well. Easy to install with clear directions and a template to mark the 4 1/2 inch hole.

Opened box to find that the 4" flexible duct was no where near 5 ft. It was only 33" fully stretched and is not enough to vent the fan for my installation.

We appreciate your review on the WVK2A wall ducting kit. We did pull a couple of these from our stock to measure the flexible duct included in the box. They were both just over 5 feet when stretched. I installed 3 of these in the house I'm renovating. They are made of flimsy low quality plastic and very thin aluminum and are about a cheap and low quality as you can get. I will be very surprised if they last more than 5 years. I should have shopped online for something higher quality but I didn't and will probably regret this decision but for now they are installed and will probably work ok (until they break).

The product was easy to install and was boxed with all the necessary parts to install. Product works as expected, quietly, and efficiently. Reasonable price point too. Overall a happy purchase from a solid & reliable brand.

Comprehensive kit, but has issues
I like this kit for including everything you need to run an exhaust vent easily out the side of a structure. It matches my vinyl siding rather well.
However, the vent damper makes a loud "clap" when it closes. You can add some padding yourself to the inside to reduce this noise, but it would be nice if the kit included some by default. I also recommend putting wire mesh inside the vent opening to prevent creatures getting inside.

Easy to install. Took about 15 minutes. The drywall was not on the ceiling yet, so that definitely helped.

Flapper slams in wind!
Looks good but flawed. We are in a breezy area and the flapper constantly blows open and slams closed in the wind! Extremely annoying.

We are disappointed to learn of your experience with the WVK2A wall venting kit. We can recommend adding a piece of foam or felt at the point where the flapper hits the damper. This can help to soften the noise you are hearing. Alternatively, relocating the cap so it doesn't face prevailing winds can be a secondary option.
The wind is something that just cannot be controlled and on extremely windy or stormy days, you may still experience this situation.

Install went ok, the tubing was just a little short for my needs, another foot would have been great. Stayed at 3” for the vent, glad I didn’t have to go to 4” because the way they did that was just some foam to wrap around the duct to make up 1/2” on each side. An actual adapter would have been much better. Like I said though, I didn’t need it.
