These closet rod brackets are really easy to use and are an efficient way of adding a rod to your shelving. Have bought several sets of these.

Installed these and found that they projected too far away from the wall and into my closet walking space. I was going to return them but found that I could reverse them and reclaim 2+ inches as it moved the rod closer to the wall. Yes my wider clothes jackets now touch the wall but not a lot, so that works if you have the same problem. BTW, the rod position is the same distance from the wall whether you use a 12 inch or 16 inch shelf to mount them from.

As noted, this rod support bracket will break, usually after years of overloaded service. Replacing one is cheap, and quick. Not noted by reviewers is that if you overload the system, as most of us probably do, you can add more of these brackets along the rod--you do not have to pair them with a shelf support bracket (the one that goes to the wall). If you really like to load the shelves and rods, then either install wall and rod brackets every two feet (2'), add additional supports in an existing installation, or look for a more expensive solution. This product is a nice balance of price/performance/ease of installation. With reasonable expectations, you will be pleased.

I really can't remember if I picked this up in the customer svc locker, or had it delivered. Either way, it's up in my closet the same day. I bought this system months ago, and the kit only came with 2 of the rod brackets. The weight of my clothes started to make the bar sag/bow in the middle, so I bought this to reinforce that spot. Works perfectly!

Replaced older CM brackets that were brittle.

These are great in wire closet compositions. It makes sliding hangers side to side so much easier.

Fits perfectly. Is holding the hanging bar quite nicely. Very easy fix to a broken bracket!
