deckmate cost way to much but is a good screw

Probably about 20 to 30% of them do not engage the star bit fully. Which is a major pain when screwing over head. Very poorly made.

These screws are great, I’m not great with a drill and tend to strip out the heads on most screws, but using this product I didn’t have this problem at all. I highly recommend.

I just used them and I am very satisfied with them.

Excellent screws, we use them on all our DIY projects like porches, decks, roofs, etc.

The bit they came with was excellent to have. No slipping at all. Worked in both my regular drill and in my impact driver. I found the impact driver worked better to drive them in and them tight. Did not require predrilling in 2x4 applications.

Did not work for what I needed. Not threaded long enough

I ised these for my deck and rhey are great no skipping with the bit that comes with thr screws would recommend to anyone for exterior applications

Screws with well, self tapping so no pre-drilling is required. My new deck looks Great.

Great for carpentry and home projects. Star screw connection is critical for tough drilling to avoid stripping head. Good product. Color matches fir/hemlock

I had no problems with these screws. They worked just fine. There were no defective screws.

The Deckmate screws are great because they don’t strip like Phillips head or flat head screws do. They also are easy to get started. The only drawback Is that they are expensive especially if you are working on a project that needs a lot of them. In general I have decided that they’re worth the money to not have a lot of the aggravations that come from using standard screws.

Quality product . The star design is the way to go..... much better than traditional phillips design
