Absolutely love it. Very easy to handle, lot of power and love the 4 different angles for blade. Replaced a regular sawzall with this compact sawzall, great choice.

Bought this to replace an old recipricating saw. Worked great. Like the different blade positions. Only bad thing is the grip causes a blister to form on the thumb (pinches). Could use a better grip.

I was able to use the dewalt reciprocating saw to remove a back bumper from a 2000 jeep cherokee. The saw preformed out standing for the job. The saw is variable speed making it nice to cut when close to other pieces that I did not want to cut. I would recommend this saw for anyone to use.

Great tool. Sturdy and well made. Love the size and weight. Easy to maneuver in small spaces. More than enough power. Works perfectly. No complaints.

This compact reciprocating saw is perfect for the jobs I do, particularly for dismantling pallets - it's quiet, smooth and powerful. A must have for any DIY or tradesman who doesn't need the big powerful version.

Used it in remodel , outside for fence,tree stumps. this is the most versatile saw.Far greater stability when in your hands because of the grip. love this saw.

First one quit working after a few uses. Pulled trigger. Nothing. Warranty replaced. Second one. Used twice. Second time I noticed the variable speed wasn't working. Kept using it. Then it wouldn't shut off. Pulled plug. Tried plugging back in. Took off full power. Maybe third time's a charm...

This is a great take on an old favorite! It's compact and has a 4 position blade holder. I bought this to replace my other reciprocating saws that are in my house over 5 hours away. This works great it was a smart buy.

Compact, better grip

Great Dewalt tool to use convenient overall satisfied be able to remove blades and different directions. Also very lightweight.

I like it a lot of power and very convenient size

I got this saw because the Black & Decker straight saw I was using just wasn't strong enough to cut thru hedges & 4" tree roots. This saw does the trick! It cuts through thick roots and branches like butter! The User Guide is very detailed about what precautions to take when using this saw. I guess because it's a reciprocating saw, there's a shoe on the front that's supposed to be pressed firmly against the material being sawed. I found out why - there's so much vibration with the saw that if you don't keep a firm grip, you take a chance with kickback.The only problem I had was that since I'm cutting close to the ground, I found that you really can't just push the blade thru the wood. I solved this problem by simply rotating the handle of the saw, and cut thru these roots just fine. Last, I decided to store the blade in the plastic display card it came in. It's thinner than I thought it would be and I'm concerned about having it snap in two if it stays attached to the saw and isn't stored correctly.

Bought it 3 weeks ago and it hold its own. I have been using to cut tree roots and the power delivered is tremendous. Too bad some one hasn't made a sawzall blade that performs like this electric saw.

Bought the DeWalt DWE357 to replace a 20 year old Craftsman 12a Reciprocating Saw that finally wore out. The DWE357 is much more comfortable to use.

I bought the DeWalt 12.0 Amp/3000 spm recip saw this weekend and had a large amount of cutting to do in the yard. This included taking out a dead, hardwood tree with 8" trunk. Took the tree down with a 12" pruning blade. Also many overgrown Oleader trees with 2" to 4" trunks. The saw did all the cuts no problem. We just ran out of space to dispose of all the trimmings!

It vibrates very bad, buy a different one.

Did not last today on a rough. Ended up returning the Sawzall for a old style DeWalt. My father purchased the saw because of the four blade positioning option and the unique design. Unfortunately it lacks power and vibrates way too much when you are making cuts. Also has a odd feeling holding a Sawzall I had no leverage to put my shoulder behind the saw.

I love the 12 amp compact. Enough power to get the job done and the light weight and size make it a very versatile part of my tool arsenal. As a contractor it is one of the tools I use everyday.
