This table is not very solid. It moves too much and if putting something heavy on it (100 lbs) the table legs move as if they are too weak and seem like they might bend

Assembly was easy, but took me an hour, not the 15 minutes the manufacturer claimed.

Not yet assembled, still in fire recovery mode. Found the container/box surprisingly heavy, and banged up. Hope contents are not damaged.

Low cost effect, light working not for heavy duty

It's a good, solid workbench for the money, but it isn't perfect. There is a bit of damage at one end of the table top and the lower shelf has a ding in it. Also, I had to return to Home Depot to get more screws because Edsal didn't ship the correct amount.

Do not set your expectations too high....you get what you pay for. The unit came in with the corners of the particle board chipped away and the assembly instructions are basically non-existent. It does the job, however, as a basic light to medium duty workbench at a low price.

Extremely happy with this table. I have already mounted a 4" vise, ammo reloader, and my arrow saw to it. This table is sturdy and well built. I have $300 dollars by going with this model instead of the $400 competitors.

Recently received this bench. Very sturdy. Easy to assemble. Note particle board top is not light weight, its the heaviest part of the table. Dense particle board can be sealed but takes 2-3 coats of sealer. Delivered promptly. I got 4 more screws (frame to top) then needed and 4 less bolts (frame assembly). Frustrating. Be sure 34" height is what you need. The taller you are the higher you'll want the bench to be. Width and Depth work for me.

Tabletop was particle board and chipped easily.

I purchased 6 of these for my workshop. For the price they are very good. The top board is particle board, but very strong and heavy. You need to drill holes into the particle board prior to screwing it to the base. The drill bit should be 80% the size of the screw diameter and longer then the screw length. That way you won't crack the board. 2 out of the 6 were damaged, but only minor damage. The metal was bent on one. I used a vice to straighten it back. You can't even notice. The other had a small chip in the particle board, but it's on the back bottom, so no big deal. You can replace the particle board with real wood, but it will cost you at least double the price of the whole bench price. Once assembled they are very sturdy. The only negative I can think of is the bottom shelf isn't strong enough to use. It's very flexible and is mostly for holding the bench together. You could add a wood support under the middle of the shelf so that it doesn't flex.

I used 2"x12" planks and topped it of with plywood. I have a bench grinder and a vice on the end an I anchored it to the floor. This workbench does not budge. Excellent value!!

Very sturdy and easy to assemble

Beautiful color/pattern, but substantial dents along both long edges (the shorter edges had a Styrofoam strip which apparently protected the wood very well). It appears the box was dropped multiple times in shipping.

One of two work tables purchased is assembled except for tying the top down while considering other table top materials. It has been a few weeks since assembling the one table but always interesting tying the end frames together and once together a very solid work table. One important feature, the table ends (legs) are pre-welded, a big help. My new shop suffered from lack of working surfaces and this table has been surprisingly useful in getting organized after a recent move. As usual the pictures are lacking in detail - line drawings only - no photos. If one is assembling several tables it certainly gets easier but a one off can be a bit of a pain. Example, the "U" shaped front and back connecting frame pieces have holes along both folded edges, more in one than the other for securing the table top, but easily assembled upside down and so - one was correct, the other not! The instructions suggest placing top on the floor and tipping the frame over on it, a good idea, but now one sees the mistake, so back up again. After securing the "wood" top a second pair of hands will be helpful righting the table back on its feet. The "Wood" top is "particle" board and a handful even at 48inx24inx1in thick; probably why the damaged packaging. Table size was chosen for flexibility - 2 tables 2ftx4ft, 1 table 2ft x8ft or 1 table 4ftx4ft and so forth. In addition the height is adjustable, but better to pick a good height at the start because adjusters are bolted on. The shelf under is handy and adds to overall stability. In summary, very pleased with design and function of this particular work table.

Packaging very flimsy and fell apart resulting in scratched surfaces and lost hardware which I went to the store and bought again. Firs and last time I order larger items from HD!

Was missing screws to assemble correctly...

We used this as a countertop for an island we installed as the focal point of our kitchen remodel. The wood arrived in great condition and looks great. We treated the bottom with two coats of food-safe mineral oil and treated the top and sides with four coats. It looks great.

Not worth the money, very unhappy with this product. I would recommend buying the more expensive ones. Hope that will be worth the money for you

benchtop is beautiful. Couldn't be more pleased with it.

The top is extremely difficult to get on. We eventually gave up after a 6 or so partially-installed screws and called it good enough. We've only had it a few weeks and the legs are already wobbly (unrelated to the top installation). The price is good, but I think you get what you pay for on this.
