a very good instrument for the money
Although this caliper was not a high dollar instrument it is very accurate as I did check it against a high dollar certified caliper. The digital display is easy to read and the micro adjustment wheel makes it easy to measure very small items.

Really nice calipers
Good calipers. The calipers don't always hold a zero, but there is a zero button so its not a big deal at all. The Calipers feel sturdy. The only part that is plastic is around the LCD. The case also feels very sturdy and like it would protect the calipers. Just make sure you undo the thumb screw at the top and you will get a lot of use out them

A Must Have Item
I am very pleased with this product. I have needed one for very long time finally decided to purchase this one and I wasn't disappointed if this one breaks I would buy another one exactly the same and I would recommend this to anyone that needs a similar product.

    Way off
Bought this to replace old caliper's . Read accuracy, was convinced to buy them. Tested them out, they do not give a repeatable reading and are off by 0.02. Not a caliper that should be on the shelf.

      A good tool
This caliper is made right. All the important parts are stainless steel. Precision is thousandths of an inch - many cheaper calipers are only accurate to hundredths. And the accuracy is good - I tested it on some guitar strings, which are very precisely made, and 0.010" strings repeatably measured 0.010 +/- 0.0005. Measurements also compare well with my old analog caliper. The direct readout of the digital is much easier to read, and it is switchable between inches and millimeters. The electronics housing is plastic and feels a bit flimsy, but a precision instrument isn't supposed to get knocked around, and I don't expect that to be a problem.

      Every Shop Needs a Caliper
My hobby is woodworking and having a caliper is essential to producing the best projects possible. I've used a caliper for years but this is my first stab at one with a digital readout. The ability to easily see and read the results of the measurements taken increases accuracy and speed. This tool uses a standard watch style battery. Most tools come with a battery to get you started but I can't remember the last time an extra battery was including in the package. This one came with an extra battery on board. I see this as a real commitment to the customer! All told, this is a great tool. Highly recommend.

      Accurate and easy to use
I have a couple of pairs of inexpensive dial calipers already but digital calipers have some advantages. The biggest advantage is that the measurement is displayed directly. On my dial calipers, the dial rotates once for each tenth of an inch of measurement, so you have to look at the ruler scale to see if the dial reading of 43 refers to 2.143 or 2.243 etc. This makes it easy to make a gross error. I know! The dial calipers have the advantage of higher resolution, you can interpolate by eye to 0.0001, wheres the digital one reads only to 0.0005. That is not very important, because two measurements of the same thing often differ by 0.001. Another useful feature of the digital calipers is that it can switch from inch to metric units. The 3D printer community works mostly with metric units, as do most import cars. Most of what we buy at the hardware store comes sized in inches. These calipers make life easier for me. The instructions for the calipers specify both accuracy and resolution are 0.0005 inches, and I found that seems to be the case when I measured my spacer blocks. For more accuracy you should probably be using a micrometer, anyway. My only negative comment is that the housing for the display is poor quality die cast metal. A friend has a different model that has a more attractive and lighter weigh plastic housing.

      Cheap flimsy but accurate
Movement was very gritty, plastic cover is flimsy n weak, good thing it came with a spare battery since the one in it was dead. Accuracy was pretty good, but I returned em. I couldn't get over how rough the movement was when sliding the blade.

Good Product, Very Accurate, Not the most Durable regarding the plastic.
I picked this up for Gunsmithing mainly. When I open the product I thought to myself that it seem like the plastic around the digital screen was cheap and flimsy. But after using if for a few months that isnt the case. Its durable enough for what is it, It is what I like to call a Specialized Measurement Tool. Meaning if you want it to remain Accurate with measurements you must take care of it and not drop, throw into a tool box, or anything of that sort. But anyways Great product and it looks like I will get years and years of good use of of this Caliper.

      Cheap material
I purchased this caliper thinking it would be worth my money. I was wrong. The electronic components covered in flimsy plastic. I opened up the container and the device was all scratched up and felt like it would have broken in my hand. It is very accurate, but the fact that the biggest feature of this caliper (which is the digital measure) is made of shoddy plastic is somewhat upsetting that it costs this much. The battery is difficult to remove without worrying about breaking. For $30~ I would expect at least decent material used.
