Bought this 7.24.22. Installed on pool chlorinator. Saw it leaking on 8.09.22, only 16 days of service at 6 hrs/day of water being pumped thru it. Threads failed on both the high side and low side. See photo. Inexcusable. Poor quality control. There is no way this should have failed at all, much less this fast under these normal operating conditions. Thank goodness it was an outside failure, instead of an internal home plumbing job.

IT resolved easy muy leak problem

Exactly what was needed to complete my compact hose bib installation. I always use brass when possible and makes sense to do so.

I have used these hex nipples for a lot of projects and prefer hex nipples to the usual straight nipples. They are easier to tighten or remove securely without gouging the surface of the pipe. They have smooth threads and the proper taper to make a leakproof fit.

The Everbilt fittings are nicely finished without burs and the pipe threads provide a tight seal.

Unless you are an experienced professional, 1/4 in. DOES NOT mean 1/4 in.! It took 3 tries before my neighbor gave me an old part that is closer to 1/4 in. OUTER diameter. This fitting is closer to 1/2 in. outer diameter. Labeling should be revised, especially for dimension challenged individuals like myself.

Able to use the part in the project and was glad it was purchased.

A wonderful nipple. A beautiful nipple. A nipple to which all other nipples should be measured.

The hex head was too close to the water filter housing and didn’t create a seal. I had to get a longer nipple instead.

It finished the water heater installation by joining the short hoses which were part of the overflow line. Just what I needed.

Not sure if it is supposed to be used for a gas connection but this is the only male threaded connector that fit both the 1/2" iron elbow and the threaded side of the 1/2" MIP female brass quick connector hose. Checked for leaks, everything was fine.
