Worked on my GE water heater. Pilot was not starting lit. I installed this and is working Normally now.

I bought and replaced the thermocouple in my Rheem water heater 4 years ago. The pilot light finally went out today and would not stay lit after several attempts to re-light it. Since the igniter was still working, I knew instantly it was the thermocouple. The old thermocouple (also Everbilt) had a corroded end with a carbon ash residue. The new thermocouple installed fairly easily and was able to keep the pilot light lit after igniting it again. 24" was a bit longer than what I needed, but the extra length can be easily bent and shaped to fit inside the cover.

Worked great, took less than 30 minutes to install. This was a little longer than the original one, but very easy to bend tubing to take up slack. I would recommend this product.

My old thermocouple was not keeping the pilot light lit on my GE propane 40gal water heater. It was putting out 22mv but would not keep the pilot solenoid activated. This new one is putting out 27mv when heated and probably more amperage. The pilot light is working. All is good.

This product worked great I would recommend it to anybody I had it fixed within 20 minutes after I get home and it doesn't matter how long you have you could always fix it mine was 16 inches I bought a 24 and it work perfect

Just a tip before I comment on this item. If your water heater is not leaking, and it stays lit for a few minutes and it goes out, it has been my experience (I had several rentals) so comfortable in saying that replacing this item is the solution. Usually just need one or two open wrenches to disconnect a gas line and the thermocouple (don't forget to turn off the gas valve), a small (3 or 4") Phillips screw driver to detach the unit inside the burner area. My tenants called me at 8 pm and by 9 pm they had hot water. Not a young landlord, just 22 yrs shy of 100.

Fit right in the exact same location and fixed the problem.

I tried to install this into a Bryant Day & Night 396G furnace. It didn’t fit. The probe did not stick up high enough to reach the pilot light flame.

30min YouTube, $12 tool and 1hr of work can save u $100 handyman invoice. It is totally worth it

Worked well as a general purpose thermocouple in a T46 Pizza Oven application.

It saved me from replacing the whole pilot assembly. With my unit I had to use baling wire to hold it in place but it works.

Fixed my water heater problem. Easy to install.

Worked perfectly for my water heater

Package has all the necessary fittings to complete the install. Installation is a breeze. Took about 15-20 minutes for the entire process. Water heater fires right up. Since it was installed about three weeks ago so longevity is unknown at this time. The OEM unit lasted twelve years.

The pilot light on my 50-or-so-year-old furnace wouldn't stay lit (went out as soon as I released the "light pilot" button, no matter how long I held it, so I figured it was probably the thermocouple. Might have been just dirty (those box elder bugs get everywhere), but for thirteen bucks I decided to just replace it. This item was the right size (24"), screwed right into place, and works perfectly. Whole lot better than having somebody come out to fix it!

My pilot light went out and wouldn’t stay lit when the button was released. The Not wanting to take another cold shower or pay somebody else to do the job I did some research. The internet made me believe it is the thermocouple. I watched some YouTube videos, bought this product and had a go at it. It took about an hour, and immediately fixed the problem. (Channel locks to remove old thermocouple from bracket are key) I’m super stoked that a universal item fit perfectly.

This thermocouple fit very well in my water heater. It took me about 20 minutes from start to finish to deinstall and reinstall this item. Price was very reasonable. The only issue was I needed an 18 inch wire but I could only find a 24 inch which requiered for me to put a small loop in the wire. After the installation my water heater fired right up!

Worked perfectly. One of the 2 fittings supplied (a universal) didn't fit, but I happened to have one that did.
