This worked out just perfect for a feral cat shelter I made for a friend. I cut to size to fit inside walls of shelter, first applied spray adhesive to put them in place and then framed them in to secure them in place. Worked out great.

      This is Not Reflectix
This is not the same stuff I've been buying from home depot for years. I used the buy the Reflectix product which was twice as thick for the same price. This new product by Everbilt, deceitfully marketed to look like the original reflectix is super thin, flimsy, and frankly a rip off for the money. Not happy.

Perfect for garage door insulation I know most people use this reflective insulation in crawl spaces and walls but I used it as garage door insulation. It not only insulates against the frigid temperatures during the PA winters but it is also a good sound insulator. I previously lived in CA where there are a few cold winter days but in PA the temperatures can drop to near zero and even an attached garage is freezing. I cut pieces from this 25 foot roll and placed them with 3m adhesive strips to each panel and it kept the garage above 30 degrees most of the winter. I wish I could have used one continuous roll to block the air gaps where the hinges were but the hinges prevented me from installing it that way. This Everbilt insulation is light weight, easy to trim and doesn’t have any chemical irritants. It’s perfect to use as a garage door insulator especially in the winter months. I plan on leaving mine up all year because it also keeps the garage cooler in the summer.

This is just what I was looking for. I have a smaller bathroom on the top floor of the house that seems to be a hot box and melts the snow on the roof. This melting causes ice to form at the gutter. I hope putting this in the attic will help this. It's not very thick but at the same time feels very well made. I look forward to next winter to see if this solves my problem.

I’m very happy with this Everbilt Double Reflective Insulation. The product is extremely flexible and easy to work with. No sharp edges anywhere. I used this insulation material to increase the concentration of sunlight in my partially shaded backyard garden beds. It was easy to set up and seal with aluminum tape, which allowed maximum reflective surface.

The EVERBILT 16 IN. X 25 FT. DOUBLE REFLECTIVE INSULATION STAPLE TAB is a simple product to use for insulating surfaces from heat or cold. I installed it on my steel garage door using heavy duty gorrilla tape. It made a slight difference in temperature which was acceptable for me. If you want something with more insulation then using a product with a R value rating is better. This product does not have a R rating and only reflects the heat, cold or UV light. It is lightweight and easy to install with no irritant material.

I installed the Everbilt Double Reflective Insulation in the 16 in. x 25 ft. size rolls on the exterior wall of my sun porch. This provided protection from the outside elements which I found in the past changing the temperature in the room. The Everbilt double reflection installation helps to keep out the cold but also the heat in the summer out also. It does this by blocking out the UV light. Although this time I used the on the exterior walls, I have also used it between rafters in the roof and also under wood flooring to add that extra protection and also block out some of the sounds from outside.

I got this reflective insulation as a sample. I used it between the rafters in my walk in attic room. It's really easy to use as it has tabs to staple it to the rafters. It's very light weight and easy to manipulate. We just installed an exhaust fan in the attic so I figured this would help as the temperatures in Virginia easily get into the upper 90's during the summer.

I got this reflective insulation to wrap around my hot water heater. It seems to work well. I did test it out by holding it up to a window and I did not feel any heat coming through. It has tabs to staple to rafters but I used foil tape instead. It looks like your car sun screen but it works well. I would totally buy this again if I had the need for insulation.

I picked this insulation up to add to a recently added wood shed in my back yard. Living in Phoenix, AZ the summer heat is absolutely brutal, so my goal is to add some insulation to the shed to try to reduce the temperature inside and prolong the life of everything I’ll store inside. The material is super easy to work with, manipulate and cut. I’m adding it to the roof to start. I might add to the walls as well. Only time to tell if it actually functions like I’m hoping.

I picked up this everbilt double reflective insulation to insulate some windows in my toy hauler. Living in Arizona the heat/sun really heats up my windows on my toy hauler in the Summer. When camping up north in the mountains I thought some extra insulation covering the windows would help keep the cold out and the heat in. Ultimately this material was easy to manipulate and cut to size. Look forward to seeing the benefits of the addition over the next year.

This is the most versatile and best insulation i have used. I needed something to help keep potted trees alive in the winter. Holly trees can live outside in the freezing weather, but when potted the roots can freeze and the tree will die. I used this to wrap the pots and it worked perfectly. in the dead of winter, i also wrapped the entire trees to protect from snow storms and heavy winds. this is a great insulator, and it also handles rain, snow, and sun without damage.

I like this kind of insulation because it's easy to work with and provides a bit of insulation in areas that may be difficult to access with thicker insulation material, for instance on a water heater that is fit tightly in a closet or up against a water softener etc. I plan on using this material to insulate my heating ducting where I have open access to it in our colder basement. I did notice though that the thickness of the air gap on this was slightly less thicker than another brand or maybe even the same brand that I purchased a few years ago. Not sure if that will even matter as far as the insulation value but it's something to at least consider when your shopping around.

Great stuff! But my use for it is not listed: homebrewing insulation! One of the keys to brewing quality beer is temperature control, both in the mash (where the grains are steeped) and in fermentation. Keeping the liquid at the specified temperature can be a challenge, so insulation is important. This reflective material is basically a sheet with 2 reflective surfaces and gas bubbles trapped between, so it reduces both conducted and radiated heat. I had used it before for removable insulation on my brew kettle, to maintain the mash temperature of 150-170 deg for 60 to 90 minutes. Cutting it to size & shape and adding Velcro closures enabled installing and removing it quickly during the mash. BUT, don’t forget to remove it if you are going to use a burner to add head during the process. It will singe. My latest project with it is shown in the attached photos – adding insulation to a stainless steel conical fermenter. As you can see, the shape and ports on the fermenter made it a challenge to cut, but it turned out great. I used I used a combination of aluminum tape and adhesive Velcro strips to attach the pieces to each other so that it can be removed for cleaning. It provides additional insulation beyond that of the fermenter’s neoprene jacket, enabling cooling the fermenter to the mid ‘30s despite being in a warm garage. Great solution.

We'll be camping this summer and our large cooler will have to be in the sun. It's a 5-day cooler that has tested well for four days in a stretch but will likely need insulation in the summer heat. Had planned to sew the seems but my machine didn't allow the foil to slide under the pressure foot and hand sewing was too time consuming. Ended up being easier to use a duct tape. The design is such that we won't have to remove the insulation each time we need to open the lid or use the handle to roll it around. The very top is double thick and the back of the cooler has a "skirt" of insulation. . This 2'x10' roll was enough to make a foil "box" and topper layer for the interior as well. I've heard that duct tape shouldn't be in direct sun, so it's on the undersides. The black tape holding the "skirt" is temporary electrical tape so it could be stitched. This added insulation will help a lot.

You may see this review twice since I also ordered 24 in x 10 ft which is the same product but different size. I have used Everbilt double reflective insulation on my sons HVAC system including his ducts. You could feel cold air leaking from the seams of his AC system. We used this to seal that from happening and it worked. I plan on using this product on my hot water pipes that I can see in the basement. I will also use on my other son's HVAC heating ducts in his basement.

This is a high quality insulation product. The best application for this would probably be garage door insulation. It's 24in wide. You can significantly increase your summer and winter insulating with this. Some use it for the ceilings in pole barns, sheds or garages. It will really help moderate Temps. It's easy to cut and install. Would recommend.

This is a high quality insulation product. It is designed to work with 16in on center joists. It would work best with blown in insulation, unfaced or other types of rolled insulation. It is double sided so it does not matter which side you face outward. You can staple it on the edges if you like. I also taped the seams for a better seal. That's not always necessary. Would recommend.

I use this product in a non conventional way. I live in South Texas and regular ice coolers need a boost to keep things cool. I line my ice chest with this using metallic tape-all 6 sides. This insulation works great to keep items colder than without it for many more hours. It is very thin, so does not take up any real space in the ice chest. If I have a specific item that needs extra protection to stay cold, I make a pouch out of this to place it in individually. I have also used this to mail food items. If the food item is freezable, I pack it in this insulation and tape it completely. with a 2 day mail, it is still cool when it gets there. Not items that have to be frozen, but things like cookie dough that need to stay cool, but can be frozen and can remain in the fridge thereafter. I like that there is a cushion factor as well. Basically the center is bubble wrap with the outer sides coated with a thin silver metallic plastic film. Great to keep a roll in the house for non-conventional uses.

I have an insulated steel garage and in the summer it's pretty unbearable as it doesn't have any trees around to shade it. I investigated various insulation types and as I don't really work out there in the winter I thought I'd try this radiant barrier product instead of fiberglass or rockwool. I put some of this 24 inch Everbilt on the southwest wall and used an infrared thermometer to check temps. The Insulation was a little warmer than the 83 degree ambient temperature and the steel siding was well over 100, and the sun wasn't even at it's highest point yet. I was impressed enough to go pick up two more rolls of the Everbilt foil insulation, but in the wider 48 inch by 25 ft size to staple to the ceiling rafters. It's light enough to handle fairly easily and was simple to put up with a staple gun. So far it has made it a much more tolerable environment to work in. If you have a hot building or attic give this stuff a try.

I used this when we built the bunny hutch. You can immediately feel the temperature difference. With the hot sun it is cooler inside. I5 is lightweight and easy to use. I put this between the OSB and the plastic roof covering. Easy to install and simple to cut. Lightweight but strong. I am amazed at how well this works! Non toxic chemicals which is great for our use!

What a great insulation product. Very lightweight which allows for easy handling. Double reflective so you don’t need any special gloves to handle since it is smooth on both sides. Very easy to cut with household scissors for needed size. Just unrolled, measured what I needed and quickly cut to size. My hot water heater is close to a wall so I didn’t have the room to use commercial hot water insulation wraps, but this fit very easily in a small space.

I had a leak in my dormer, and water ran into the wall. I had to remove the paneling and replace the insulation. Most of the fiberglass insulation had been chewed by rodents. So, actually it was a 'Blessing'. I used unfaced Rock Wool, for its rodent deterrence and soundproofing. Being on a busy road, I wanted a vaper barrier that would provide additional soundproofing. I love this stuff! It is like insulating bubble wrap for your home. The description mentions lots of obvious radiant insulation uses (can practically use it everywhere), but also can be used for sound deadening and a vapor barrier. When doubled up, with an air pocket between, they rate it R-21. At .28" thick (foil on both sides, bubble wrap in middle), it has some rigidity to it (helping it lay flat and I was able to push it behind the window framing [see pic]). Unlike paper or plastic, it does not easily tear, which makes it easier to hang by yourself (can tack/staple/tape/spray adhesive a corner and not worry it is going fall down while doing the next spot). Also helpful, the bubbles act as a grid pattern, making eyeballing cuts much easier. It will not retain moisture, making it ideal for damp spaces (next place I will use it, is the rafters above an unheated/dirt floor crawl space). Not sure how it holds up to rodents, but has to be better than paper or plastic. The 48" is perfect for large spaces, and old homes like mine, where rafters/beams are not evenly spaced (e.g. 18" or 24" on Center). 100 Square Feet per roll (4' x 25'). Only negative, needs to come in longer roll!

This double reflective insulation by Everbilt is exactly what I wanted to cut down on the summer heat in my garage. The garage doors always get very warm/hot during the summer months and I expect this product to greatly reduce the heat transfer. It was easy to install – just cutting to the correct size and using tape on the backside to keep them in place. I wish the length of this product was 28 feet versus 25 feet – each garage door is 8’Wide by 7’Height which requires a length of 28’ of this material. Other than that comment, I am happy with the product and would recommend. Time will tell how well it actually cuts down on any heat transfer during the heat of Houston’s summer.

EVERBILT 24 IN. X 25 FT. DOUBLE REFLECTIVE INSULATION STAPLE TAB is just like any other insulation tab. Shiny, not so sturdy, flexible and thin. So far it seems to be insulating the heat around the water heater well, but keeping it on to it is not so easy. Overall am fine with it, but didn't get a feeling that it would last long which is why I could not give 5 stars
