For years, I have used this fitting as a base to extend the height of landscape spotlights. I screw one end into the light fixture using a brass coupling and screw the ground stake into the other end. Works like a charm and does not rust or corrode.

I replaced the old iron nipple fitting with this brass nipple and I'm glad I did. The old iron pipe was full of corrosion and the brass will hold up much better.

This is a superb, nicely built fitting. Very easy to screw onto other items and connect two different things together. Makes life better when you can. Can connect things together. Would definitely buy again if I needed it
