Grabs the hose tightly so it doesn't fly out when discharging water. Helps limit noise and odor from the drain pipe. Small vent holes around the top of the rubber fitting allow for it to vent. Some might cover the top vent holes to further limit noise if their installation allows it.

Product worked great, super quick to install and now I don’t have to worry about the drain hose coming out of the drain pipe or being installed too low and causing the washing machine to backup.

Product works well and as described. Overall, this is a clean, effective, and very inexpensive way to manage a laundry discharge hose.This adapter tightly fits onto a 2 in. standpipe. The center of the Fernco hose grip has a hole that tightly holds onto a laundry discharge hose. 4 smaller holes around the discharge holes equalize air/water pressure and allow fast drainage with no water backup.

Original order took a month to get here. The item was previously used and the tightening clamp was stripped and could not be tightened around the stand pipe. Did not want to go through the hassle of waiting for another one, so I purchased a new clamp. Works great now. You would think that this would be an item that would be normally stocked in-store.

Perfect solution for an agravating problem of "sudsing" overflow

Item worked exceptionally well. I installed a piece of 2" riser directly onto the u trap then put washer cap directly on riser then shove the washer hose in cap outlet

works exactly as advertised. easy to install (less than 5 minutes) and keeps the drain hose securely fastened to the stand pipe.

Just what I needed to fix the hose from come out and putting water every where. Easy to use and will keep from having any more issues with the drain hose.
