Easy to install serve my needs

Very easy to install. I will use it to hook up a generator to use during power outage. I will connect a 50 ft 50 amp generac cord to my 12500 watt generator.

I ran 1" conduit into the bottom-center knockout and connected 6/3 with ground without a problem. It was annoying to remove the receptacle to tighten the wire lugs, but that was the only complaint. I really like the angled connection and would buy this again.

The perfect choice! Plenty of room for wire behind face plate. Fully closes when generator cable is plugged in to keep it dry.

When installing this box, I left my wires a bit short and it caused the inside cover to accordion, and shrink down to accommodate the shorter wires. This was because the top part of the inner cover has no screws and slides into a slot made using nubs pressed into the metal housing. I would have preferred four screws for the inside cover two on the bottom and two on the top. The inside plate will pop over the nubs used to hold the top part of the plate stationary, Given the outlet is very tight for my plug, I can imagine this giving me problems in the future. I may make mods to secure that plate better. There are a lot of holes big enough for wasps to make their home inside this box. Wasps and bees have access within both the inner cover and the outer cover.

Exactly what I was looking for. Has plenty of room in the housing for the wiring. All metal box to resist outdoor elements. The price is very good.

The electric box is fine, plenty of room to route the wires. The shipping to the store took over two weeks which is not acceptable and I doubt I would use the service again.

Box is very good. However, the socket is not. It has issues with some cords. I have several 220vac cords and about half of them will not lock in this outlet. I ordered a second one and it has the same issue. I finally looked up the specs on the socket and this unit has a socket that does not meet specs. The keyed prong has a fold over that is about 1/16" too long. A replacement receptacle is about $30. You can also file a littel bit off of the keyed prong fold over if you have the same issue.

One of the best inlets on the market

Nice heavy duty box. Plenty of room underneath to work the wires. Thumbs up in electrician terms.

Just to start tightening the screws took way more effort than should be needed. I assumed maybe they were cross threaded to start, I loosened 1 screw to try it again and it was an even bigger headache so I assumed maybe there was lock-tight on the screws and tightened them down. 2 of the screws never got tight enough before completely stripping out. I got this unit to give me more space, but luckily had a trusty back up PB50 from Reliance, and was able to get the job done. I wont order this ever again. Will return this and remind myself that GE leaves a lot to be desired with their electrical division.
