Bought it, installed it, no power. Put a meter on it and no power. Checked the pull out, no power bridge...complete garbage. Went back to Home Depot and opened 5 more new boxes and all had the same defect. Told the guy working the electrical isle who proceeded to argue with me....obviously not an electrician. Told the store Manager who said to me "whatever"

it is a piece of junk! After installing I was unable to get power to the mini-split. After checking all my connections and all good I tested power to box and this was good. However there was no power to the mini-split. When checking the piece you pull out to cut power there is now continuity at all. I had to bypass to get power to mini-split. Total junk!

Needed a 30A disconnect for the compressor of my new heat pump. Bought and installed this and noted that the disconnect bar never seemed to fit well. Never even thought about testing it. A/C installers are there and their electrician tells me I have no power. Voltmeter shows 240v at line but 0v at load. I check the bar and there is no continuity through it! Pull everything down and return the disconnect to HD. EVERY SINGLE GE DISCONNECT ON HDs SHELF HAD THE SAME ISSUE!

Works Perfectly, in that it made my Water Heater work again, and so now I am enjoying warm showers!

They gave me a used device and when I went to swap it out I was accused of using it

This item is a fused unit. Requires fuses to operate. The fuses attach to the handle and and not inside the box with the wires. Fuses are sold separately. For those that say it "does not work" they have no business dealing with electricity. This is a basic metal contacts metal for electricity to flow type of device. Nothing to work or not work about it. Put the right type of fuse up to 30Amps, wire it up properly, ensure the fused handle is inserted in the "ON" position and you are in business. So many negative reviews resulting from user error.

I haven't installed yet. Plan on having Mr Cool Air Conditioner in stalled in Sept. when the weather cool down outside.

It actually needs 2 bus fuses to work. I missed this in the description when I read the word fusible. So buy 2 bus Fuses also.

The fused disconnect was used to install a 220 volts dual zone Mr Cool air conditioner. It works great. Provided instructions where easy to understand.

Excellent additional lighting for outdoor, great for extra security around the house

Easy to install, however does not come with the two required 30A fuses. Hopefully this will save someone yet another trip to the orange box.
