Hey there - thanks for taking the time to reach out. If you purchase a filter from our parts page, it's genuine. If you purchase from an authorized dealer, like Home Depot, they will be genuine too. We have no reason to doubt that an authorized dealer would have anything other than genuine parts in their store. If you purchase from a 3rd party, that's where it gets fuzzy. If you purchase from Home Depot and have issues with the filter, we recommend contacting our HD.com customer service department at 1-800-430-3376 any day between 6 a.m. and 2 a.m. EST or call your local store.
