I had some problems with someone cutting my fence so I got one of these Security Cameras(also for other reasons) but the view from the camera is remarkable.

The Greeni 1080p "Aware" security camera is a great little camera that detects movement and lets you know via your smart phone. The Greeni camera has a micro SD slot for recording video or for still pictures. The camera works via your home wifi and no hub is required. The first time I tried to set up the camera using the Grenni app I could not connect. The second time I tried to connect at a different location I connected right away. Could have been me the 1st time. The picture you get on your phone is very clear. You even have night vision capability with the Greeni. There are controls via the app that let you mute the cameras microphone. You can even talk through your phone to the camera! The only thing I don't like about the camera is that the night vision LEDS are visible at low light conditions. Not very stealthy. The camera can be wall mounted or stand on its base. The camera direction can be adjusted manually. One more thing, the instructions that comes with the Greeni has really small print. I really wish it was bigger.

I am using this camera for under-bed detection. I have a kitty I am trying to track so I have this literally mounted to the bed frame. The great thing about this camera is the night vision. I can call up the camera via the app or Alexa to see if the kitty is under the bed or not. Other cameras do not do nearly as well with dark areas. However, the no-light vision of this camera is superb. The down side is that while the app says I am making recordings, I cannot retrieve said recordings. I even have an SD card in the slot and turned it on for "Events" in the settings but no joy. My guess is that the app needs a little help as I checked the firmware version and it is up-to-date. I don't need to make recordings but it would be nice to be able to do so.

I just set up my Geeni AWARE HD 1080p Smart Wi-Fi Camera. Well I should say my teenage son did because when it comes to tech stuff I am a little hesitant. After it was set up I see it is pretty easy. The camera comes with step by step instructions. Before purchase make sure your WIFI and smart phone are compatible. This camera does everything! Two way audio, night vision. Easy to mount indoor or outdoor and is wireless. I plan on getting two more and I can run it off the same application on my smart phone. I will have a complete high end security system that I monitor myself for way less money than a security company that you pay monthly.

I give it ***** for how it works afterward. Two – way voice and audio, hee, hee, hee. I needed some surveillance for our vehicles after items were removed. These are meant for interior use, but in a protected area they can be used outside if an electrical outlet is available. Or mount it in a window if there is an unobstructed view to the area you might wish to surveil. They include mounting hardware, but can also be freestanding; the bases rotate 360º and pivot 180º.

Not good quality waste of money

WiFi range is less than 20 feet. I can’t event use it.

I am so disappointed that I am unable to use this camera. It connects to your home WiFi on 2.4 GHz band and mine is dual 2.4 and 5 GHz. My laptop and iphone connect to the 5GHz band so I could not connect the camera. It took me a while to figure this out because I kept getting a message that the connection failed. After some research (I am not that tech savvy) I discovered why. It's too bad because I really wanted this to work. My nightly visitors include lots of wildlife, including bears who have been known to hang out on my back porch. It would have been nice to see what they are doing.

Night vison is so clear and sharp. I have three of these, one installed at the front entery of my home. the other two i built a hood to protect them from rain and have them outside. One pointed at my work shop and the other is pointing at my attached garage and drive way. The hardest part was to set up my smart phone to the cameras. I had a 16 year old girl set it up for me.

This is an entry-level camera and it lacks some key features to make it worthwhile. It's biggest problem is that motion detection can only be set to on or off, there is no way to configure it to be on only during certain hours. That means if it's on you'll be bombarded with notifications of movement detection when you're at home and moving around in the room you set it up to monitor. I confirmed this limitation with Geeni tech support. To make matters worse, even on the lowest detection sensitivity setting it seems to be triggered by random dust particles which results in a notification. IOW, the motion detection feature is pretty much useless on this camera. The camera also has no knowledge of Daylight Saving Time. You set the timezone but the time displayed is an hour early during Daylight Saving Time months. It's not all bad. Setup is much easier than any other camera or any other Internet of Things devices I've installed before. This camera is probably best used as a baby monitor as long as you don't need motion detection and are able to live with its Daylight Saving Time problem. It's of little use as a regular surveillance camera since you would generally expect to use motion detection there. For the money I think there are better cameras out there.
