It worked for about 5 days and then quit, wondering if I can return it for a refund as I bought a whole new unit after the failure.

This was ordered to replace the receiver box and get a new remote of an old Genie model 200 garage door opener. The old opener already uses 24V to the receiver, so all you need to do is wire this one in like the old one was. You do not need to use the transformer plug that comes with the kit. Works fine so far. This should be promoted as a receiver replacement for older model Genie's and shown how to do it.

Got this to use on my 1978 Chamberlain opener because my original remotes died. Works perfect opens the door from about 3 houses away.

my old genie door opener outside keyless pad failed and genie could only offer their universal keyless..which i bought but could not install on my old opener because of compatibility with my opener dipswitch technology .... so i had to buy their conversion kit to their intellicode...i installed both and learn coded my old transmitters (3) on first click but could not get their universal keyless programmed until i went online and found the factory default 3-5-7 sequence.....all good now.

Works great. Wires in parallel to the garage wall button so the wall switch and remote both work.

My old opener could not be cloned to my new car. The new Genie was easy to install, worked perfectly, and is works with the car.

Might be good for some, but useless for Sommer or any other GDO that runs the wall button circuit on 24V DC, or on anything other than 24V AC. Stupid design uses a shared common terminal for the power and switched circuits, instead of two terminals and separate circuits for each.

Bought this on representation from tech support that it will work connected to a GDO's wall switch circuit. But stupid design has power circuit and switched circuit sharing a single common terminal, so it won't work on any GDO that uses DC or other than 24V AC in its wall button circuit.

Very handy little device. Interfaces with any model garage door opener, hooks up parallel with the wall pushbutton. Seems to have about a 300 foot range. The small key fob remote can control 2 other openers, but not Chamberlin models (at least not mine)

Great product if you have an older opener without a remote.

Only one Genie remote is included. It does not work with older remotes. To buy an extra remote for the other car and a new keypad remote is an extra $58 which makes this an expensive solution. If you are okay with one remote, it works as advertised.

Easy to install, good range. Was also able to program my car to control the receiver.

This upgrade kit worked great on my 13 yr old garage door opener that I inherited from the previous home owner which had no remote and no keypad remote for the outside wall. I highly recommend this kit. Easy to install and link up to the opener.

This receiver replaced an old one that was not working unless you were very close to it. I guess electronic things get weak, not just quit. This new one works very well and from a distance.

Did not work. Returned to the store.

Initially this seemed a simple exercise but, when I wired it up to the garage motor it refused to open and close. After much trial and tribulation I simply bridged the button and power terminals and now it works well. The remote is odd, does not give any feedback that the button was actually depressed leaving you to wonder if you did anything wrong.
