Very difficult to install perfectly but the film provides privacy and heat reduction as advertised. Read the instructions thoroughly and follow them exactly. Use plenty of soapy water (or whatever product they want to sell to you) during installation. Be patient and expect to see some flaws when you're done. Be careful when handling the film or you'll get a nasty paper cut. I'm surprised they don't have a warning for that. It's sharp.

This product is fantastic. I'm not understanding the 72% price increase since last year.

But if you follow the instructions correctly, you will get the greatest heat control film on your windows! I was able to do the sliding door (68”x72”) AND a window (33”x44”)!

This window tint is silver in color. It looks like your windows are chrome plated.

This is a great product that reduces the heat of the late afternoon Florida sun on my west facing windows. I can literally feel the difference, as can my utility bill.

I spent $100 and the applicator set and the 3x5 box and is nothing short of a HUGE WASTE of Money! Temp today & yesterday are the same so I decided to install in the morning to allow as much time to work as possible to block out heat in my office. My door is closed with the AC cut like yesterday's temp reading, yet the room is 91 degrees at the time of this writing around 5:30pm while only 90 outside. HOW can my room be HOTTER than outside with this "wonderful product"? 100% WASTE OF MONEY.

I was so excited to block heart from my windows that face west and i bought this film with high hopes. Waste of $50. Instructions easy, even bought the application kit, there was another $15. Spent FOREVER trying to peel the clear film from the reflective film, if your doing a small window this would work well but i had a larger window and the film puckered and creased everywhere even though i had sprayed everything thoroughly. So disappointed LOOKS LIKE FOIL!

I can't fit my experience into 500 characters. It was $50 that hopefully I can recoup from Home Depot.

Worked out really well the windows came out great you can barely see through them the sun doesn't come in the rooms a whole lot cooler thank you very much

Goes on relatively easy when paired with Gila window film application kit. Cannot see through from the outside during daylight hours.

If you follow the installation video, it works well. I put the film on 2 skylights that are up 12 feet high off the ground. But it worked well.

Works great - helps block heat.

Not really dark enough and was challenging putting on. Tore to easily. I feel like I wasted money and time.

DO NOT BUY. Put on 4 windows two days ago. I thermal pain is cracked.

Go to a local auto tinting shop and buy a better film with as much heat blocking as you wish. It's a nightmare trying to get the backing off of this stuff, and it sticks to itself more than anything else.

I found a great how-to vid on YouTube that took me step-by-step through the installation process. This made an enormous difference. I am very pleased with the product — it looks good on my windows. I will see if it actually cuts down my electric bills for the AC unit.

Impossible to work with

This product creases very very easily. It was not perfectly smooth even out of the package. The way the film is rolled makes it more likely to crease as you peel the backing off. It's ok for heat and glare reduction on a storm door. The creases make it look really cheap.

Spent $100+ on all the GILA products it recommended for the 3 windows in front of house that get the setting sun. The lines in the film, the reoccurring air bubbles, and edges not laying flat even when trimmed were frustrating and disappointing. Although I need the UV blocking feature in this product, aluminum foil ($5) would have done the trick. I paid a pretty penny for the Gila product so it would look esthetically pleasing. It doesn’t. I will not recommend this product, save your money.
