I applied this to several old oil stains on my concrete shop floor (photo 1). I left it for the full 24 hours before cleaning it off. It certainly changed the appearance of the spot on the floor. Now instead of the darker oil stain, I have a new spot on the concrete floor that is much lighter than the surrounding concrete and larger but with a darker center (photo 2). I believe that it did remove some, perhaps most, of the oil from the spot (It beads water less now than it did before treatment). I would not count on this product to restore the original appearance of your concrete floor after an oil spill, but if you needed to remove the soaked in oil for some other reason (painting the floor? cementing vinyl tiles to the floor?) this would be worth considering.

The Goof Off 32 oz. Concrete Cleaner Degreaser is a product that I have been wanting for many years. Having owned automobiles which have leaked oil, I have wanted a product that would remove the stains but one that did not require washing. I have tried about every product on the market that is supposed to remove oil stains from concrete. Most require hosing down or washing off which doesn’t work well in a garage or carport. None have removed the oil stains completely. The Goof Off Degreaser is advertised as just pour it on, let it dry, sweep it off, voila! You have a clean driveway. Unfortunately, it did not work that way for me. See photos. It is possible that I made errors in the application or removal. First, it is good if you get on your knees when you pour the product. I did not. I just leaned over and so it splattered on my shoes and pants. Next, even after shaking, it did not pour smoothly over the area. I should have used a tool to level it out. Also, it did not cover 3 sq. ft. - probably because it was too thick. It took 15 hours to dry - again probably because it was too thick. Then the removal was a greater challenge that I had hoped for. You definitely need a broom with strong bristles. Removal was not a mere sweeping. After aggressive sweeping, I then obtained a white spot. The good news is that a strong rain washed the white away. The oil stain looks better but it has not disappeared. The instructions do say that you may need to make repeat applications. It is a better product than most but still not the ideal. It may work better on smooth concrete.

Worked reasonably well on an old oil stain. Though it did not completely eliminate the stain, it lightened it up considerably.

Followed directions, no difference. Stain was fresh, so trying product again on stain only.

I experienced a major oil leak (8-quarts) on my paver driveway. I tried 3 different products all claiming to remove oil stains but none worked. After the first application of this product, the oil stain was completely gone! For pavers and unsealed concrete this is the ONLY product you will need to remove oil stains! Period!

After two applications no results

This stuff may work, but it did not work to pull up paint from concrete (which is something it suggests it does.) It was a waste of effort and didn't pull up anything.

Did very little to rid my driveway of motor oil.

Worked as advertised. Cleaned the dirt and oil from my garage floor.

It will not remove older stains

Did not remove oil from parkway.

Used it on power steering fluid stain on concrete driveway. Stain was 2 weeks old. It did not remove or partially remove stain.

I spilled motor oil in my garage. This stuff worked perfectly in cleaning it up.

Great product. Used as directed and concrete was stain free.

10-15 oil spots on driveway 2” to 5” diameter (from leaking oil filter after oil change). Had been there about one week. Used Goof Off without diluting. easy to apply. Left on about 36 hrs. Turns to white dust. Used a large putty knife to pick up initially, then sweep (recommend face mask when sweeping). Absolutely surprised at what a very good job it did. Just the shadow of a couple spots remained. Washed and swept (stiff bristles) that part of driveway with dawn afterwards. Very satisfied with results.

Rented a garage in my complex. Grease on floor was slippery. Directions said for heavy stain apply full strength, let sit overnight, then sweep it up. Easier said than done. Dried up almost like glue. 3 times dry sweeping, plenty of dust but still caked onto the floor. No hose, so used a gallon of water and then swept it out the door. Did that 5 times (with 5 gallons) before the dust stopped kicking up. Stain still there but at least not slippery. Don't use this unless you have access to a hose.

Unbelievable product! Lifted fuel oil out of cinder block. (I did not dilute it) and vacuumed it up with the shop vac. It really works!

Didn’t clean very well
